  • July 11th would be annoying for me. I'm out of town the entire weekend.
July 11th is tomorrow, a Thursday.

I know. However, Steam sale is a week long and two of them I won't have access to a computer.

Guys...even if this is true, which I doubt, they have an app for Android and iPhones for you to buy the games. Problem solved.

Yes, I planned on using this at CTCon.
  • Analysis of the Dota 2 patch that dropped last night in the testing client shows some items for a possible steam summer sale. Test patches go live officially on Thursdays.

You don't want the play and charge kit, you want this. It basically makes your wireless controller work on your PC. I got one a while ago for Steam Big Picture and haven't had any complaints so far.

EDIT: Basically the only thing I want from the Summer Sale is Civ V: Brave New World.

  • I'm looking at BNW, Skyrim, EU4 preorder, Rogue Legacy, and whatever other indies people tell me are good. I'm probably going to be spending a lot of money this time around.

BNW probably won't go on sale though. It came out too soon for them to put it on there now.

Store won't load. Were the predictions correct?
Edit: Got through and saw some sales, didn't see a sale banner.

  • Sites not loading, but I got the wish list notification email.

    Bioshock 2 - $5 (75%) I guess it's not going any lower. It's a crappy game, right?
    Bioshock Infinite - $30 (50%) not enough
    Don't Starve - $12 (20%) not enough
    Antichamber - $6.79 (66%) I think we have a winner

    Hotline: Miami $2.50. No excuses.

Skyrim - no DLC, $21 - too much.

  • Weird, the Antichamber deal isn't on the front page, but is definitely for reals. I wonder what other hidden daily deals there are.
  • Metro Last Light is 20% off. Still not low enough for me.
  • Due to server load:

  • Endless space is totally worth it if you like 4x games and fun.
  • Agh, to buy Bioshock Infinite or to wait for it to get cheaper...
  • I've spent about 20 minutes trying to buy 1 game. I think I'll just give up for now and come back in a few hours.
  • Yeah, the load is ridiculous this year.
  • Yeah, the load is ridiculous this year.
It has been same thing every sale.

  • I might finally get Endless Space as I don't have any 4X space games and I'd like to play one.
  • If people buy Endless Space, I'll get back into it. Don't have a ton of time for gaming, but turn-based 4X space games fit the bill nicely.
  • I have been wanting to play a multiplayer game of that forever
  • Not sure if prices seem high or I'm not completely used to using dollars yet.

Don't play with Nine Boomer. He'll sell you your own planets to you. The asshole.
  • Civ V > Endless space
  • Anno 2070 is $19.49. If you want a great futuristic SimCity type game, check it out. Plus, it has cooperative multiplayer.

Wait to see if it gets on the Daily Deals or Flash Sales as that is just the Summer Sale price. At worst it will still be same price for a while.
  • Prob gonna pull the trigger on Antichamber. Looks like I'll be waiting another year or so to play Don't Starve unfortunately.
