I was just flicked off by my father as he stormed off after a discussion we had about role playing games. I feel strangely accomplished now :)

Oh, and I'm back after working at Scout camp all summer long.

  • For those of you who like John Green, his newest novel The Fault in Our Stars is $2.70 for the signed edition right now on amazon for some odd reason.
  • Question, does anyone know of a site on how to contact people on a business end? I am looking to find information about a company for a potential licensing issue with the game I am working on and keep coming up to dead end. Wanted to see if anyone knew of a business search engine that could help.
  • Nothing good. Just know people in the industry through LinkedIn. ;^)

Yea when I am not at an office computer I can check there as well, however I keep finding people named Natsume but not any Natsume employees :/

Given it's a game company, a company forum/Twitter account may be a good last-ditch effort. If you make the question public, you may gain the clout necessary to make them budge.

Have not ruled that out, working with people I know first who are in PR to see if I can ask privately first. If that doesn't work and when my rules are finalized, it will be public.
  • Don't masturbate while going through caffeine withdrawal. I had to take a nap earlier...
  • Got some button-down shirts so I can dress like the adult I technically am.
  • I wear nothing but button-downs. They're waaaay more comfortable than t-shirts in hot weather.

  • My PS2 emulator seems to be freezing on a certain scene, so I've been playing one day in Persona 3 over and over a few times. It feels like Groundhog Day.

I think Google is down right now... It's like I've lost a limb.

I can't even check the google system status page because I need Google to find it. Maybe bing?

  • Works for me. Despite isup saying it's down. I'm using https, if that makes a difference.
  • Never noticed an outage. ;^)
  • No outage for me, but I have been noticing that certain pages time out in Chrome 21 even when they're up. The intranet portal at my job site, for example. Freaked me out until I switched to Firefox and it worked.
  • No problems over here in Australia either.
  • That site in fact says it's down when it's not.
  • It is down for me and for isup.me, and that's about it.
  • Well, it's up for me and isup.me says its down. So you must have fucked something up. ;^)
  • Google hates Scott, evidently.
  • Working for me, man. I just googled some TF2 stuff and it worked fine.
  • isup.me always says google is down. I think it has something to do with robots.txt or similar automated access prevention.
  • Well, Final Fantasy VII is re-released for PC with achievements and cloud saves...and they've chosen not to use Steam. Are they screwed or are they screwed? I'll buy if it comes to Steam. Short of that, meh.

FF VII was on PC in 1998. I borrowed it from a friend. It was four CD-ROMs. If you wanted to play it on PC so badly, you have had 14 years to do so.

I really couldn't care less, partly because I know it's already been out for a long while, and also 'cause I'm not huge on FF VII anyway. The *only* way I would be interested is if it had Steam support, and evidently SquEnix chose not to go down that route for some reason.

  • I'd buy it on sale on steam if they went that route. And also, hehe "Cloud" saves.

I bought it for the PC day one. (Didn't own a Playstation, nor did I have any plans to ever get one).

It didn't fucking work. Glitchy and crashy, poorly ported, and generally a shit experience. I didn't get past the first disk before I stopped playing it. I think I sold the discs in a garage sale.
