Pure speculation. You cannot take into account what you do not know.
Me and my buddy figured that at the very least, the Oompa-Loompas were the most organized. You have to have things pretty together to throw together song and dance numbers on the fly like they did in the movie.
On the other hand, the Lollipop Guild's name implies some sort of formal organization...
People in the midwest are pretty racist too. The difference I've seen is that they seem to prefer to be hurtful in a gossipy way rather than directly.
I'm white, but in the first stores in Texas and Louisiana I entered, the owners were rude to me before the door even closed behind me. That doesn't happen here. I can only imagine what they would have said if they had another reason to give me grief. I know not everyone is like that, but it was an interesting experience. It did make me never want to go back though.
I feel odd carrying a pocketwatch if I'm wearing jeans. I have a smartphone, so the thing is pretty much only for looks anyway. Wristwatches seem a little more practical, but I've never had one I thought was comfortable. Maybe leather bands are comfortable, but I don't buy leather.
I carried a pocketwatch basically up until I had a cell phone. I did this instead of a wristwatch.
The reason was simple. I wanted to be able to know what time it was, but not have to know what time it was.
Haveing a wristwatch, I basically knew to the minute what time it was all the time. But with a pocketwatch, I would actively decide specifically when I needed to know what time it was, and then look.
Knowing the time became an active, rather than passive, thing. Except in the course of emergent events, this is a more pleasurable way to live.
So my company provides a cell phone to us, I've got a choice between AT&T and Verizon - both have good coverage anywhere I'll ever use my phone. I don't want to debate the merits of each carrier.
BUT - I will be going to Japan and possibly travelling a bit around Europe in the next 1-2 years. Ideally, I'd like to get some sort of pre-paid / local sim card when travelling. I'm hoping someone who's done some world-travelling could comment, would I be better off using a GSM phone or a CDMA/LTE phone?

iPhone 5 Verizon is 100% unlocked and can work pretty much anywhere with SIM card.
GSM is worldwide CDMA is pretty much US only and does not use SIM cards. If you can get a phone that does GSM & CDMA then you can go with Verizon. Otherwise AT&T uses GSM.
Even with that if the carrier locks the phone you can not use any other SIM card.
Whatever you set to Public/Friends of Friends/whatever. Pretty much exactly what any given person sees when they visit your profile, just it shows up in their newsfeed instead.

But not all of it. Facebook doesn't show everything from every friend, unlike Twitter which shows everything from everyone you follow. If you post something to Facebook, it'll show up on some of your friends' feeds, and if it gets likes and comments it'll show up in more and more feeds.

Not quite true. You can enable it if you want to. [your friend's page] > Friends > Settings... > All Updates. You can even set it to get notifications about every one of your friend's updates if you're into that!

Of course, but I was talking about defaults. I have over 2,000 friends on Facebook and the vast majority I never see. As soon as they become my friends I file them into a category and uncheck the "show in timeline" option. Facebook settings are super handy and quite powerful, but I expect fewer than 1% of Facebook users ever use them.
I have an awesome friend, who I've convinced to join the forum. He's a confirmed member (as zeofan1) and everything, but he is having this really bizarre problem that I've never heard of before. He's trying to introduce himself in the "Identify Yourself" thread, but finds that he is not able/allowed to comment on it. But it's not just that thread, it's everywhere. Can any of the admins or the like figure out what is going on, please?

And Rym hit the nail on the head.
