I knew this draft was going to turn into Gattaca at some point.

Really? I would've expected a figure closer to 100%, since I'm pretty sure you're nearly 100% human, so if you make an error it's probably a human one ^_~
Allow me to rephrase - 99% of the time that an error is made, it's my fault. The other 1%, I'm unsure, but chances are that it's lag. Better?

Don't waste your money. I accept blowjobs.

Shit, what a time to be broke.
  • Yeah, good point. I'd like to not give one team an artificial advantage because, say, Jason's at work right now, so he gets the people we didn't pick at the end of the day. That's all I'm trying to avoid.
Ummm, each captain gets a turn to select a person. It's not just a free for all. Do you know how drafts work?
N-noted. Alright. I'm going to use random.org to generate the order for this draft, because it's easy and I don't have to be responsible for the order.

  • Jason has a history of doping his teammates. Anyone drafted under Jason will be required to submit a mandatory urine sample in addition to hair fibers for drug analysis.
  • I offer a 1lb bag of Starbucks special anniversary blend coffee. I am also willing to thrown in another 1lb bag of my favorite roast: Casi Ciello.

  • Nieto, I recommend just whisper the captain whose turn it is the list of available players. They whisper back their selection. Remove them from the list and whisper that to the next captain.

Andrew has a history of doping his enemies' teammates in order to obtain a win by default. It is recommended that all players test their food thoroughly before consuming it.

  • What do we do if our team sucks? Rage quit?

Blame the captain. That's what they're for.
  • The draft is over, long live the draft.

All picks are final. No rebates. Names are posted in random order using Random.org's randomization feature, NOT in order of draw. Team Seaslug has nine players due to an uneven number of entrants; Neito was given the extra player by consensus of all captains because he was fourth in the batting order.

May whatever god you believe in have mercy on your soul.

I'd be pretty surprised if Vicious had been picked last ^_~

Andrew, I love you. The other teams won't know what hit 'em.

Welp. Show's over, folks. Jason's team wins. Everyone go home.
  • I already know I'm going to die so much. Also, Jason's team has the best name. I feel Andrew named his team to spite Jason, which is awesome.
  • I was going to have Team Lyon to spite him back, but then I thought that my team's battle cry could be WINTER IS COMING.

Then it should have been Team Stark or Team Direwolves, however in the long run, the name Stark may not be the best choice. *SPOILERS!*

Okay, now that teams are decided, we have to know what maps we'll be playing and when. Considering that team strategy depends heavily on the map, this is an important issue.
Based on the Google Form I set up, the following maps are popular:
    Attack/Defend:
    Dustbowl
Egypt/Gorge (only 5 votes for either, but if we're having 2 maps from each game type one of them has to make the cut).

    Arena:
    Nucleus
    Sawmill

    Capture the Flag:
    Sawmill
    Well
    Double Cross

    Control Point:
    Well
    Granary
    Badlands

    King of the Hill:
    Nucleus
    Sawmill
    Badlands

    Payload:
    Gold Rush
    Badwater Basin

I doubt any of the teams can play so many maps in one scrim, let alone all of the teams. So, if we are only playing several of the maps from the selection on the first weekend, we have to decide how many, and which ones.

Of course, there's also the matter of deciding which teams will play against one another. I guess we'll just use random.org for that as well?
