We had a little problem while we were playing just now. In arena mode, we couldn't start the round, because both teams weren't ready. Seems like players aren't assigned to teams until round starts, and round doesn't start until there is at least 1 player on each team who can ready it. And I didn't notice a way to pick team in arena mode, we still had only fight and spectate options.
Hopefully someone knows about this stuff, or will be able to google it in the upcoming hour(s).
I'm not sure how to connect to the TV server. I asked on the server, and was told that it's not showing up on my server list because it's the same ip but a different port. I didn't want to keep interrupting the match with questions, so, uh, how exactly do I connect to the TV server? I tried googling it, but all the threads and such that popped up were questions asking how to connect to a server via ip.
Well, Team Hawks wins by default, because we have 7 people and no other team does. No Rym, but we weren't expecting him anyway, and frankly, who needs Rym?

Sorry? You aren't complete either. You cannot win thus by default, because there were no rules about winning in such a situation. To pull victory to yourself when it is convenient for you is pretty lame dude. If you want to win by default, at least be there yourself in full otherwise it's just hypocritical.
However, if you move the goalpost to be that the purpose of the scrim was to organize a bunch of people on the server to play, you can declare a pretty good success. And I think that's what I'm going to do for future scrims. Instead of "Hey, these are the teams and this is what we're doing" and having it be super formal, I'm just going to set up a time when I set up some theme matches with everyone.

In other words, you're going to organize Picnics instead of 'scrims'?
Also, I claim victory because I killed Lackofcheese!
I had fun last night, but at the end of it, Steam told me I'd now played TF2 for a total of 25 hours. That's enough for me I think! So I deleted the game. I only started playing it for this scrim match, and now it's over I don't see much more reason to play or practice.
But if there is another group game on the FRCF server, I can always reinstall it. As a game it really doesn't entertain me very much, and I have no patience for all the bullshit that Scrym always moan about. Playing with forum people was fun though, but I think that comes from the interaction between friends, not from the game being any good. I played scout for the first time during the matches last night, with a trackpad, and shooting people in the face at close range then running away is very satisfying, but only because I recognize their user names.

EDIT: Fixed.
I can see the server. It just won't let me go there.
connect 70.85.31.207:27020
server browser seems to be buggy as hell about it
Also, you all get to make fun of Rym for flaking. :P
