I don't know if people realize there are a bunch of Attack on Titan spinoff manga. There's "No Regrets," "Junior High," "Before the Fall," and probably others. I don't know anything about "No Regrets." Junior High is an SD gag manga, but it's not funny at all. Waste of time. Before the Fall is actually interesting, and might even be better than the original.
I already lost the interest for the series and the manga. The manga went to some potentially interesting directions, but it was on top of all the other unresolved plot threads, so I can't just believe that it all comes together in a satisfying way.

There's also a bunch of gag 4koma, but I'm not sure how many are official. At least one of them is, but I don't know anything about the others.
I was doing a lot of work travel over the past two weeks, so I shotgunned this whole series over the course of two weeks. Of course, since I am Mr. Fucking Oblivious when it comes to watching TV and movies, I did not see anything coming. I think my mind goes into some state where it does not even attempt to predict what comes next. Somewhere inside of me, there is a dumb person.
The show is not perfect (pacing issues), but it has a lot of great things going for it. Excellent cast, beautiful visuals, good music, etc. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
I would argue a lot of anime stuff has bad pacing issues.
I actually started reading through the first volume of the manga and then promptly bought the second one. I sorta want to check out the anime and see if I enjoy it at all. The premise seems good enough though to catch me.
Discovering Attack on Titan was a magical moment for me. i had just started a Crunchyroll trial and was looking for something to watch. After checking a few episode 1s of a few animes I had never heard of, not being too impressed, I didn't expect much more from Attack on Titan.
I actually didn't hold any positive expectations about the live action version, but it actually looks pretty intense. Looks like it might do the franchise some justice.
