  • Well, since Heroes season two is starting why not revive this Heroes thread to talk about it. Please stand by for fangirling....

    OMG! HEROES IS BACK! YAY!

    ...end of fangirling.
  • w00t! I just finished watching Season 1 on DVD. I missed it on TV last year...it was FANTASTIC, loads better than recent seasons of 24. Might even give Prison Break a run for it's money.
  • I have still not seen the first 4 episodes of this show.
  • AMNESIA! >:(

The Hiro part is still good thankfully.
  • Hey I was just happy that...SPOILER WARNING!

    Peter is alive and back!
  • XD. Dude. Peter was definitely going to be alive.

The thing I REALLY love about that episode was how much history Hiro's father had with the Petrelli's mother!
  • I also want to know about Mohinder's and Mr. Bennetts things they are doing to the company.
  • Just make sure to catch all the 360 stuff (the comics, hiro's blog, samathawireless, pirmatech paper, etc.) Makes things more interesting the more immersed you get into it.
  • Eh, Viga. If you want to spoil something, give said spoiler a black background, or make the text white. That way it requires more concious effort to read said spoiler. And you don't accidently read it when reading the sentence above it. But yeeh, the spoiler wasn't that much of a spoiler. I think it even was on the NBC site.

@ Tasel *spoiler from comics* How do you wish to get those text messages now? 1. She's dead. So there probably won't be new messages. 2. They've been send loooong ago. You can't get them anymore. 3. Those are US only, right?

    Gonna download the ep now.
  • Okay. Sorry about that. I didn't know if there was a way to do a spoiler tag. I wasn't sure if it was a spoiler or not but better safe than sorry.
  • Nineless (and anyone else which is why I'm not doing it as a whisper) Spoiler *spoiler from 360/s2.e01*
She is kinda/not/is dead If you go to her site wireless is still, uhm, active? She seems to be "part" of the data now. Possibly uploaded. So her site is still in use, and she's still involved. Granted this last season her arch barely gave any background to what was going on, and was a mild 3rd level storyline. Second Season though is shaping up, as she started hinting at the plague thing from the comics and now episode 1. She had a bunch of Spanish new articles. The text message thing, I think, is only for US people, but I haven't really taken part of that. I've just done the different emails and websites.

so the 360 thing still is active. Haven't read the comic from last night. Also I wasn't able to log into the 360 "Heroes Interactive" thing during the show last night. Kept saying illegal input. anyone else have that issue?

This show already, like last season, is aggravating me with question upon question. I'm going to start reading the webcomics and checking out the other extra stuff so we can talk about it. Here are my things that just made me go WTF with the episode:
(~Will we ever find out what Mr. Nakamura's ability/power was? Will we ever find out what Mrs. Petrelli's power/ability is as well? I hope so.
~What the hell happened with Nathan Petrelli? Apparently he's no longer a congressman. Maybe they found out the election was rigged?
~Both Parkman & Petrelli are wifeless. Kinda sad, but makes sense.
~I wanted to see Claire just pwn that cheerleader. But it was smart of her not to.
~The new brother/sister heroes, we don't know if the brother, Alejandro has any powers, but the sister (I forget her name) kills people and makes them weep blood. Eerie.
    ~When Hiro says "You're a gaijin", I lol'd.
~Peter with a new haircut, the same necklace as the Haitian, and amnesia! O_O At least he's alive. Man, this makes me so excited for next episode.
    )

I found the comic, but there is also other things. I assume they can be found on NBC.com, right?

  • I have some Heroes Links here
  • It was like a sixty minute long nerdgasim.
  • I liked the premiere a lot but... sometimes I want to punt that little girl's head off her body and watch it fly off into the end zone. I don't know what it is about her... It's like she's acting too hard or something.

"I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!"
"Hmm... that's fine, I can read your mind."
  • I can believe Hiro's ability to stop time easier than I can believe Cheerleader girl's dad thinks he can avoid attracting attention by working in a copy shop and living in a huge McMansion in California.
  • I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Premier was WEAK. I think having Peter alive is RETARDED too.

Also, to quote Dave and Joel...

Amnesia is not a fucking plot device.

  • I agree with Joe. How do you explain the size of that house on a copy guys salary?

I do find it interesting that he is still working in the paper business.

Looking at the trailer for the next episode it looks like Sylar is also being given the amnesia treatment.

I am somewhat surprised at what happened at the end of the episode, I was almost expecting Hiro to end up in one of those "I'm my own grandpa" paradoxes. At the same time it does allude to why Hiro and Peter's families are so close...
  • You're definitely not going to attract attention if you beat up your boss. *points to cheerleaders dad*
  • That being said....I won't complain about a show's realism that has superheros in it. I agree, there are some things that seem too bizarre or cheesy (Amnesia!? Come on!) to swallow, but hey, the show's fun.
  • I need a Hiro song
This is something Hiro's fans would like. The download is free too so disregard the mp3 buy button.

My thoughts on the latest episode...(I'm so glad the Haitian is back, but what was his name again? Plus that pinkie toe scene was gross. I'd also get mad at that flying/stalking guy. It wasn't the greatest episode but it brings new beginning points to the present plot.

Usually, I agree wholeheartedly. However, if we accept the internal logic of this show, it makes sense.

There is one guy we know about already that can screw up people's memories. Also, the show is introducing new characters with new abilities all the time and retrofitting them into the story.

So, if we know that there's one guy who can alter memories, it fits the internal logic that he (or another character we haven't seen yet) could have caused the amnesias.

  • I think it's obvious that the brothers ability is to consume the black tears from his twin sister.

He's gonna need to consume a lot of tears when Cheerleader's Dad tries to pay the mortgage on that huge house with his check from the copy shop.

I think they should do a show on that alone.

  • With the inclussion of the flying kid and the Kensai having the same power as Claire I have to wonder if the writers have run out of cool powers to add to the show or if they are trying to set up genetic links between certain characters.

I think it's genetics. I thought Kensai might be Claire's ancestor. That would also mean that person is the Petrelli bros. and their mom's ancestor.
  • Yeah, I totally think Kensai is Claire's ancestor.

That doesn't really make sense. If powers were passed down genetically, that means that stalker boy is related to the Petrelli's as well.
