The 2nd season for SAO is set in a modern setting and guns are used instead of swords. The stakes are not as high. Some players have figured out a way to kill other players in game. And there is an investigation underway in which Kirito is recruited.
Finished Kill La Kill the other week. It was great! Didn't so much like the fights near the end as they got a bit "power level exceeds yours" but aside from that...
Mankanshoku, wow, she was constantly making me laugh!
I finished watching the first season of Selector Infected WIXOSS, and I think it was a good watch.
It really reminded me of Madoka, so if you guys liked it's dark twist in a apparently harmless theme, this one should but up your alley, but this time around it's CCGs.
Just caught up on the Kill la Kill OVA. Is it mandatory viewing? I'd say no, but it is more kill la kill. Therefore, it's probably better than whatever you're watching right now, so just go watch it.
Finally got around to watching Steins Gate. Without spoiling the show does the ending do the story justice or am I watching an animated version of Lost?
The end of the story is fine. It's only one season (if I remember correctly) so it would have to work hard to get to the levels of Lost. But it's good and whatever issues I have with the show, they were not from the end of it.
I have the English dub on because of other ppl watching with me and so far I am impressed with the voice acting. I do wonder how many of the coliqualisms were changed from the source material to match an American audience.
Finished Steins;Gate last night... My god did they do time travel well! Great characters and I fealt that they did a superb job showing the stress related to time travel and the impact on the human psyche when faced with horrible choices and the powerlessness associated with fixed points in time that can not be changed.
I need never watch another time travel anime ever again.
I was reading a review of Gundam build fighter(I watch bad shows; it's been scientifically proven) when it hit me: why aren't they doing a real world version of this?
Not only could they bring a Gundam build fighters game to market with current-gen technology, this is well tread ground; Skylanders/Disney Infinity is a thing.

The new Fate Stay/Night show is solid. The designs and art are great, and the story is actually coherent! Definitely one of my favorite shows so far, right up there with Parasyte the maxim.

Why? Because is awesome!

Make it happen, Japan.
Lord Marksman and Vanadis: not sure yet but I'll keep up on it.
Rage of Bahamut: Love the art. Interesting start.
