I recently finished Claymore. It's weird, I watched it in the space of two days because i was loving it so much, and now I don't think I can remember a single plot point. Is my brain an etch-a-sketch, or is it just not that memorable?
It's a season of Giant Robots for me. Finished True Mazinger Impact few days ago and following it picked up The Big O and just now started to watch the new Gundam show on Crunchyroll.
New Gundam show is pretty good so far; I'm digging it. Apparently Daisuki(yes, I know) has the timed exclusive for that show if you want to keep current with it.
For those not in the know, new Gundam show is cribbing notes from Gundam Wing. However, the main cast of boys is there less because "They are the specials" and more due to being former child soldiers that recently revolted against management.
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko and Now and Then, Here and There. The former is charming, odd, and deeper than it seems, although I have mixed feelings about the tone; the latter is one of the most depressing things I have ever watched, yet strangely captivating—as most of its competition was, incidentally. I think there's something wrong with me.
May start on Hunter x Hunter later today. I need more deceptive thematic complexity in my life, and Denpa Onna is so short.

Now and Then, Here and There is one of my all time favorite Anime. It's the most adult version of the "Wow check out that strange girl with a weird pendent trope of anime".
Laputa: Castle in the Sky G rated Nadia: And the Valley of the Wind PG-13 rated Now and then, Here and there R rated.
Sarah and I have been really enjoying Yuru Yuri. It's simple, cute, funny, and not at all challenging, and that's fine. Something I can put on while I do other stuff.
The show has a character (the "protagonist") who exists only so that the writers can keep pointing out in each episode how she hardly even exists. The whole first episode sets up this plot arc for her and then... it's never explored. She just vanishes (sometimes literally) and that becomes the running joke.
The optimal way to enjoy Jojo's is to accompany it with listening to Dave and Joel's commentary every couple episodes. Here's the first one.
I agree wholeheartedly.
I really, really tried to watch this. I just couldn't hang. The art, the writing, the everything... it just doesn't do it for me. I would love to get past 2 episodes so that I can see what all the fuss is about, but I just can't.

I will agree that it doesn't start very strong, on the scale of JoJo's ridiculousness (which for me is the only reason to watch) Part 1 is a 1/10.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is watching a Japanese man's writing exercises to create the most stylish, over-the-top versions of his favorite western stories with tons of music references. Part 1 is Dracula meets Highlander. Part 2 is Indiana Jones. Part 3 is Around the World in 80 Days Meets Buckaroo Banzai starring Clint Eastwood.

Speaking from experience, I can also recommend that a great way to experience JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is only listening to the Dave&Joel podcasts and never watch the show.
Of course, that could just be shortened to "Listen to 'Fast Karate for the Gentleman'"
It's a solid C+ shounen series. The action and fantasy setting was entertaining enough. Meliodas sexual harassment of Elizabeth and her always puzzled/dazed expression when she was being harassed. Was creepy and off putting.
The Seven Deadly Sins manga is a very well developed world and history. The sexual harassment is a little off putting but the backstory of the main characters makes me come back to it all the time. If you have Cruchyroll plus the manga is readily available for reading.
Just realized how old that show is. I sort of just assumed all anime fans knew about it, and have seen it. If you don't go watch it (after you watch One Punch Man) I'll take your keys and throw them into the woods.

Yeah I just never got around to it, I've actually already read all (at least at the time) of Yotsubato!

You can read Azumanga Daioh also.
Yeah I read some of it. It never really grabbed me.

Started off pretty good, then got really absurd.
I frequently flip flop between being entertained and offended by the abrupt changes in plot

3 seasons are up on Crunchy. I really like it.
Note that this is a counterpoint to the optimal process for enjoying 24, where you only listen to the Fast Karate commentary.
