Just to remind everyone, Megadeth's Rust in Piece came to Rock Band and looks freaking awesome. It's going to break some fingers, I know it.
My roommate is going for an FC on Hangar 18, I believe. He hasn't decided yet.

Possibly, but for me it will more likely break my leg from so much bass drum. Still, can't wait!
  • This just *happened* to show up in my mail box today...

  • Cthulhu+Parrot = Awesome.
  • Dude, Hatebeak is all kinds of awful. Really. I listen to some awful shit, and this is well past my line of awful.

If you dig it, more power to you, I guess.
  • Ahahaha. It is undeniably tasteless, but I'm actually having a lot of fun listening to it. The 7" was just a few bucks on eBay, and I love the illustration and purple+green disc.
  • So I've almost listened to that Skitliv album through in its entirety. Holy shit, it's really fucking fantastic. It's very creepy, gloomy, and evil. I don't recommend it for the faint of heart. Pretty scary stuff overall. There are points where Maniac's voice makes my skin crawl.

WTF? This genre is officially a parody of itself.
Well, self-parody is pretty prevalent in metal bands...
    I think you mean self-parroty.

  • I'm gonna admit it...I feel really dirty after making that pun. Just...gonna go burn the unclean out of my soul.
  • I think you mean self-parroty.
I love you so much right now.

Just remember that when I punch you for making that pun.

That's what metal is for! Side effects may include dizziness, death, cancer, and opening of a portal to hell.

Why are you going to PUNish her that way?
  • Fuck yeah! Klingon metal!

    /worst metal ever
  • Sorry for the double-post, but Eluveitie's new album is available to stream on their MySpace and is fantastic.

  • Fuck yeah! Klingon metal!
I feel obligated to point out that it doesn't sound any different to regular death metal.

I feel obligated to point out that a lot of these uber specific genres sound just like death metal.

Thanks for introducing me to this awesome band. I think this is my new favorite.

Come March 10th I'll probably be seeing Jonathan Coulton and They Might be Giants in Charlotte.

Giants are in Norse mythology. JoCo probably likes vikings.

I always thought that particular reference came from Don Quixote.
  • I always thought that particular reference came from Don Quixote.
It does, but giants are still metal as all get-out.

I thought they were supposed to be made of flesh. :P
  • Goddamn, what was I thinking? Why did I post that in this thread? Sorry about that.
