  • New theory and prospective treatment for Autoimmune diseases.

I'm so watching that when I get home. I have a feeling that it would be a motivation killer at work.
  • Good old PSAs!
I wonder what the odds are that you found that video through somebody who heard about it on Geeknights. :P
Nope twitter from a co-host on noobtoob.

"Voodoo cats gave me gonorrhea." - quote from a respondent in a hearing today. I love that quote. It sounds like a Russ Meyer movie title.

Somehow, Nintendo is able to make games that (more often than not) can bring smiles to children, while their licensed candy merchandise has the opposite effect: the faces of gypped kids with nothing but a shitty taste in their mouth.

  • No kidding. I bought one of those little Super Mushrooms with the candy inside, and the candies are so hard and brittle that it's like trying to chew on a bone. I'd rather just get the mushrooms by themselves.

After watching this presentation, I am extremely skeptical. I see no hard data, and probing into these scientists, I see a lot of hypothesizing with very little experimentation to back it up. They have some interesting ideas, but my opinion isn't budging until I see some data.

Also, they seem to be very anti-vitamin D in foods, and I generally find that people like that are a bit batshit.

Why couldn't they sponsor a factory that makes cupcakes and just bake cupcake versions of the mushrooms? Think of the money they'll make on the side independent of games and Wiis they sell, as well as the novelty value!

    Who doesn't?
Excellent point. Is there some reason you don't want to watch porn all day, Omnutia?

Much as I'd like to, I could see the detrimental effects being somewhat of a problem.

    It was a joke..

Can you imagine going into a meeting with your boss and while she's droning away about some boring new policy or procedure, you could be watching Barbara Dare and Hyapatia Lee cavorting around the conference table? "Uh, huh. Yes, Boss. Very interesting."

..and there would be no detrimental side-effects of having porn fed into your brain at all hours of the day, even when you close your eyes.

Some people's ADD is already bad enough.

I've been searching for a 4scrape alternative since both it and now bot.nik are both down. So I present 9scrape. Not exactly the same but pretty similar and will suffice. Damn, I miss 4scrape. I would've paid to keep it up.

This may look like a normal cover of a hentai manga, but it has some special hilarity for both me and Emily. Setting: Connecticon Dealer's Room, me and Emily are just exploring the japanese manga booth and looking at various things. I notice on one of the spines "Sex Pistols" and I said to myself "Is that what I think it is?" and then I saw it was a hentai and I started and called Emily over to see this. We both had a good laugh, and I replied "I wouldn't mind seeing a manga version of the Sex Pistols' history!" Amongst the other things me, Emily, and (briefly before he left) Rym saw were a somewhat expensive box of Fist of the North Star sketches which Rym pined over and this magazine with a baseball anime that Emily semi-gushed over.

By the way Emily, what was the name of that anime?
