Probably an old hat since 20 questions is pretty easy when you work like a computer, but this is the first time I saw it implemented reasonably. Still, it is pretty fun.

It's gotten stuff that I can't even imagine how it got there on the information it had. Unless, I guess, if you consider that its userbase is a fairly self-selecting group, who will have tendencies toward certain characters, especially anime, video games, comics, etc. (When I picked Battle Angel Alita, several of the questions were clearly about Bleach. It got it, though!)
Yeah, it's pretty good, but I got him to miss a few times. He missed Mike Richards after guessing two other hockey players. He had Peter Vankmen and Egon Spengler when I was looking for Ray Stantz from Ghostbusters. And he did not guess Dan Conner from Roseanne. On the other hand he hit Gordon Freemen, Donnie Darko, Peter Forsberg, Tom Morello, Raphael from TMNT, Seras Victoria and Hachirota "Hachimaki" Hoshino from Planetes.
Thinking of Nite Owl from Watchmen, and it picked Dogwelder from Garth Ennis' Hitman comics. You know. The vigilante who welds dogs to criminals' faces.
You guys realize that even if it fails, it still wins. Provided that you give it the correct answer at th end, it'll come closer to getting it correct next time. The more you make it fail, the better it becomes.

UPDATE: And Muska from Castle in the Sky...gotdamn
Anyway, Akinator continues to amaze me. It's crazy how little information it needs sometimes.
