Here's something I listened to today at work, and I thought it was awesome. Recently in the last year or so I've gotten into old time radio shows. After listening to a string of Boston Blackies (my personal favorite OTR show), I decided to give the show "Dimension X" a try.
What an amazing show! It's a high quality radio show from the 50s that reminds me very much of the Twilight Zone, though this radio show came out years before the Twilight Zone debuted as far as I know. The show basically is a different story week to week in the sci-fi genre usually with a good twist ending. Some shows have stories that were written just for the show, others episodes are based on short stories.
The episode I listened to today contained radio adaptations of two Ray Bradbury short stories, "There Will Come Soft Rains" and "Zero Hour". As good as "Zero Hour" is, it's "There Will Come Soft Rains" that is really what my thing of the day is, though I'd say listen to the whole episode, since they are both good. Here is the link of the audio file for the show over at Internet Archives.
If you enjoyed this episode, here's the link to Internet Archive's complete list of every Dimension X episode. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I also really like the old-time radio scifi podcast. Dimension X is pretty cool. However, I got pissed at them and quit. Why? I was listening to journey to the center of the earth. It was an 8 part series, I think. They didn't post all 8 episodes, and they didn't post them in order! wtf!

That sucks. Same thing happened to me with the Superman show over at Internet Archives. I have to say the show was actually fun in a campy sort of way but the problem was that one episode Superman would be on a train and the cliffhanger is something like "Will the conductor figure out Superman's secret identity? Tune in next week!" Then the very next episode is one from 4 weeks later and Superman is fighting bank robbers. It's a free site, so I guess I shouldn't complain anyway, its just that my interest in the show wasn't that great to begin with and certainly not enough for me to try to figure out which order to listen to them in.
Though my interest in OTR isn't just Sci-Fi as my favorite of them all, Boston Blackie, is more of a mix of crime, mystery and detective story. It actually reminds me a lot of Lupin III in some ways which is why I took such a liking to it.
Well not the envelope...the other thing they are holding. Click the image for the gigantic one to actually see what it is. I will say over $10,000 was in the brown envelope.

I hate to ask, but what is it? The game has a glare on it so I can't tell what one it is.

You are correct sir, it is the 1990 NWC and I touched it. This occurred at a place called Digital Press and NAVA (there is a forum thread on it for more info about the event itself) The picture was done because people who didn't see the exchange simply didn't believe it took place. The guy with the beard also had some KILLER development art for sale from various old houses, like Delphine and Wisdom Tree. Just happened on Saturday and was an amazing place to be at. Also when you get into an argument over how big the Adam computer box is....you know you are in a good place.
Youtube fucked Newgrounds and madeAniBoomI never heard of it until today and I like it a lot. This toon I saw there was particularly awesome. Here
*tilt head* I didn't even know that AniBoom was connected to Youtube, other than as a hosting site. This is their profile link. For some reason, all of youtube is uk.youtube.com. Weird stuff.

Question, how does it fuck Newgrounds? It seems the crap will stay around there, unlike Newgrounds. Also, where's the games section that Newgrounds has? Or the music section? What's the difference between Aniboom and Youtube? And if it's "the home of animation" then what the hell do those non-animated vids do there? Lastly, two out of the nine categories that are on the main watch page are for Radiohead videos. And one for Aniboom series, made by Aniboom. And I have yet to find a funny or good vid on there besides that origami one.
