My thing of the day is that I'm still awake at 6am or so, and people are still posting on this forum. I'm sorry that I'm pretty drunk right now though...
It's actually a radio transmitter in the helicopter that triggers the shutter in the camera. Technicians use it to see stresses on the blades and if anything is out of line. Simple, but really cool.
