    3. Thunderball
    2. Goldfinger
    1. From Russia With Love

I'll also admit to an odd fondness for On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
  • I've actually only seen the Brosnan Bonds, even though I own Casino Royale. I bought it around a year ago and still haven't watched it, I really need to get around to that.
  • Joe, no Live and Let Die? Those years eons must be taking their toll on your memory.
  • It was funny when he ran across those alligators . . .

It was a real guy actually running across alligators! That's what keeps that movie so high on the list. Also, driving the boat across the road from one body of water to the other.
  • Transmorphers and Black Sheep are horrible, hilarious but still horrible.
  • I'm guessing it's Moonraker.
Moonraker is awesome, but it's only #5. Here are the top 5 Bond movies.

    5. Moonraker
    4. Live and Let Die
    3. Goldfinger
    2. The Man with the Golden Gun
    1. Thunderball
Moonraker in the top 5 of Bond films? You, sir are insane, it's one of the worst ones. Not only does it star the worst Bond but it also has Jaws becoming good and it has the worst ending battle ever, in space, come on!

    Jaws + lasers = win.
  • You heard me, the last Bond movie was a movie that took everything I loved about James Bond and brutally bashed it with the boredom 2x4 after some 30 minutes into the film.
Actually, that was my second-favourite bond film ever. I hated every single one with Pierce: they were just cliched, awful, campy, predictable tripe. The new movie was much closer to the novels which, in my opinion, have always outshone the movies.
YES!!! Finally someone who agrees with me!!!!! I've been telling all my friends this and they've always preferred CGI in Bond films over the good old fashioned way of shooting without too muchcomputer assistance

I really didn't like Thunderball that much. Don't get me wrong, I thought Thunderball was good but I thought the pacing of the movie was really slow. But other than that it's a really good bond film. As for Moonraker, I haven't seen it so I can't really make a fair judgment on it. As for the top 5 list, it's really good, but there are few which are different.

    My top 5

#5:The Man with the Golden Gun
    #4:Live and Let Die
    #3:You Only Live Twice
    #2:Casino Royale
    #1: Goldfinger
  • I believe that the worst movie ever made is Independence Day.

    NOOOO. Independence Day is alright.

    NOOOO. Independence Day is alright.
I agree, the story was pretty bad but it was an enjoyable movie anyway.
  • While I can't say this is the worst movie ever, Elektra tends to be the first one I think about when the topic comes up.

I had to watch the movie about three times in a span of a week, I've never been so angry about watching Jennifer Garner.

  • Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter
aka Scott Johnson's new favorite movie.
  • That movie's actually really funny.
  • The movie Closer, with Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, Natalie Portman, and Jude Law. I couldn't believe how bad it was, and to top it off it got nominated for best picture. It was like that mean old uncle you don't talk to coming over just to stab you in the eye.

Why does Independence Day have such a bad reputation? It's not bad for a summer action flick and there are so many similar movies that are so much worse (Starship Troopers and X-men 3 spring immediately to mind).

Are you saying that in the "oh that's awesome" sense or in the "you stole my quote" sense?

  • WELCOME TO EARTH!
  • Starship Troopers just happens to be one of the best movies ever made, and am appalled anyone would list that, or even mention it, in this thread. Absolutely APPALLED!
It is also made better by reading the book. Yes, I SAID IT!

I must admit it is entertaining, but it is the worst movie I have seen, and I have watched many a bad film. The main problems for me are the plot holes, the cheesiness, and the idea that an alien race can be brought down with a man-made computer virus. I'm not saying it's terrible, just bad. You want terrible, don't talk to me; I avoid those like the plague.

How can anyone claim that Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, Independence Day, or Starship Troopers are anything but the greatest movies ever? That is a lot like saying that the grilled cheese sandwich is horrible, or that Fat Bottom Girls is merely "Okay." Fucking uneducated heathens.
