  • I caught my first spy today, and I don't even have any spy defense yet! :-D

Also, I was surfing the Wiki, and I found some information about the wall. You guys might want to check that out.

Adding to the shit list: Olimpus -ApoloN- from my own island. His city size is 5 and he has no alliances; known weapons are 2 ramships. Feel free to pwn him at your leisure.

Also, if someone with sulfur would like to trade for some glass, I have some smiting I'd like to do.

Sure. I currently have 51 sulphur in stock and have maxed out the sulphur pit's space.
  • I have marble! Who wants some!
  • I want some! Do you need wine?
  • Willing to trade marble for wine 1:1. Let me know.
  • I'm willing for a 1:1 sulfur to marble trade or and 8:1 gold to marble trade, any takers?
  • Willing to trade marble for wine 1:1. Let me know.
Deal completed. Sending marble now to Li_Akahi.
  • I'm about 15 hours away from expansion. I'll have some sulfur to spare.
  • If anybody wants to trade marble or crystal 1:1 for wine, I have 45 minutes to make a deal before I have to run off to work for the night.

    A couple of questions:

    1) What is the advantage of upgrading your port? I know that you can load ships faster, but is that it? It's important defensively to have a small port, so I only want to upgrade it if there is a real reason to. I'd rather take a little longer to unload a ship than be under attack.
    2) When you buy or sell on the open market, who does the shipping? The buyer? The seller? The one who places the transaction?

From what I've seen it's the one who places the transaction.

    1. Loading and unloading faster does seem to be the only advantage. the wiki states that the size does not limit the amount of cargo ships you can buy.
    2. I attempted to buy something from a guy, and it was my cargo ship that was sent off to pick it up. (I offered to buy his stuff at below his asking price, so it was sent back)

    EDIT: Ninja'd!

I desperately need some marble. I can trade wine 1:1, I have around 200 to spare.
I'm in! My town is on Queios 11:54, and I will have Wine once I research Wealth.
Hey, you're right next to my town. Let me know if you need anything, so we can start to take over our island soon.

    I have 200 marble I can trade.

Seems you are too far away for me, thanks anyways.

If you can send 200 marble to the town of Tellius at [56:88], I'll send you 200 wine. It'll take a day for the wine to get to you. (He's a friend of mine not on the forums.)
  • Will anyone have mercy on me and trade with me for some marble? Contact me through game diplomacy.

Yeah I'll send it out to him right after I found a colony, which should be in about an hour 4 hours. Whats his name?

I am still looking for Marble and I have Wine for trade.

I'm fairly far from everyone so if someone close by could do it it would be great!

My earlier pillage raid only got me 35 Marble and 800 gold. I just found another city (further away) with a lower gold score but a higher point rating. I imagine raiding towns on Marble islands is hard because they have the resources to increase their warehouses.

I now have my palace. I'm going to max out my lumber production so I can build a colony on a marble island.

I need wine and I'm willing to give sulphur for it. I'm looking for large shipments of 300 or more.

  • Have crystal, need wine and marble.
  • I think we need to create a visual map for this game. I'm doing the math in my head with the coordinates to see how far apart some of us. Seems like I am too far away from everyone!

I, uh, look forward to it?
  • I'm thinking I'm going to give up on this game. It's getting boring and tedious.

You could just buy Civ 4 and play it with me. ^__^ It's cheap on Steam.
  • Jason, would you please send me some marble? I'll be your friend and send you some crystal.
