I think we already gave her that reaction a few pages ago. But if she doesn't like Scott Pilgrim and keeps clicking on this thread, she has no one to blame for being annoyed by the hype but herself.
Kate just hates Scott Pilgrim. You may direct at her the same reaction I get when it becomes known I am not a fan of Firefly.
Hate is a rather strong word. Are you sure she just really does not like Scott Pilgrim or is her dislike at the point where she freaks out whenever it is mentioned in any context that the word is warranted?
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/101185.html Fantastic footage of the Scott Pilgrim game from E3, with a new Anamanaguchi track! See if you can spot all the nods to classic side-scrolling beat-em-ups.
You have not yet learned the lesson. I ignore over half of the threads.
See I was doing this for a while until I realize some threads were sticking near the top for a long time so I would check them out and realize for one reason or another they turned into a totally awesome troll/flame war. So now I at least scan a lot of threads that I don't normally care about especially when I see a lot of activity :-p

It's shameful how long it took me to just stop reading the threads about subjects I'm not interested in.
1) I don't hate Scott Pilgram, I just don't think it is all that great. I think it has cute moments, but is overall a bit trite and expected. This isn't to say that I don't enjoy a bit of fluffy entertainment in my turn; however, this isn't really my kind of entertainment. Unlike Scott's "hatred" of Firefly, I can see what people like about the comic and I do like a few aspects of it myself. 2) I click on the thread for a few reasons. First, I like to know what is going on, even if the subject isn't of particular or direct interest to me. Second, I thought and still think the movie might be more entertaining (to me personally) than the comic was, as it will be more condensed. My issue with the hype is not what is posted in the thread per se, but the advertisement and seemingly endless discussion of it in so many other geeky havens to the exclusion of other, more interesting topics. I also think the slogan and advertising campaigns themselves are annoying and meant to appeal to ten-year-old boys on pixie stick highs. Since I am not a ten-year-old boy on pixie stick high, the campaign is just grating on my nerves.

I wasn't very into the comic, but the movie actually looks really fun.
It looks more entertaining than the comic, that is for sure. I am still interested in seeing the movie. My point is that the advertising campaign is asinine and unavoidable.

How are you finding it unavoidable? I've only seen anything about it when I bothered to click on youtube videos in forums.
I've seen several TV and web ads as well as seeing it talked/typed about/trailers posted in most of the geek havens I frequent around the web. It may also be a regional thing. It may be pushed harder in some areas than in others.

I really like my subtitle. I really, really like it.
Edit: Just curious.
I approve!
