So, I'm pretty sure, after looking at one of the preview pictures O'Malley has posted to Flickr, that Finest Hour is going to be partially or entirely after a long timeskip. From Vs. the World to vs. The Universe is supposed to be about 7 months, according to the conversation Knives and Steven Stills have at the beginning of Vs. The Universe, and according to something Scott says later in the book, the whole thing has occurred in 2005. However, Scott's shown playing a PSP Go, which wasn't released until 2009. So either Comaeu has stolen something from the future for Scott, or there's a four year time skip at one point in this book or before it.
I ignored Scott Pilgrim for a long time because it was so hyped it seemed impossible to be that good. Then we read it in my Graphic Novel Reading Club and now I'm totally addicted. If you haven't read it - take my word for it: Check it out! It's a great mix of silliness and characters you actually care about. The movie is going to be EPIC
I admit this was folly, not born of snobbery, but out of the assumption that it was mangalite aimed to the masses and thus wasn't my cup of tea. I was wrong. I can admit that

This happens way too often. Never discount something because other people like it. Have at least one other reason.
Why do people exhibit this ridiculous and nonsensical pattern of behavior of thinking that just because something has massive levels of popularity means that the content itself must be undesirable?
It's a general belief that 90% of people are full of shit and don't know what's good. While I agree that you should have better reasons than "Well it's way too hyped to be that good" people do have a tendency to overhype and push things that are straight up not that great (every Final Fantasy after 7).

So I've officially gotten most of my group to be Pilgrims. I'm convinced this series is like a virus. Moves from person to person, infecting whoever it touches.
Good, good. Soon I don't have to wait for the movie to come out here I just take all these trailers and other previews and cut and paste whole movie together. It's nice to see (hear) lots of great lines from the comics in the movie, but I still wait for the bacon one.
We all do, but at least we know that "If your life had a face, I would punch it. I would punch your life in the face" is in the movie in some shape or form.
Yeah, that trailer has me more jazzed about the movie than the old trailer. At first I was feeling "Hmm..." to the movie, but now I really want it to be August.
Also, I'm pretty pumped for the "If your life had a face" line, and was really hoping that'd be in there. That's become a thing with my group of friends.
Just read something about the game not having online multiplayer. Everyone seemed pissed about that, including some people who said that's a dealbreaker for them. It was like the Castle Crasher controversy all over again (except they never promised it would be online). I say anyone who was only excited to play a 4-player brawler online doesn't know where the joy of brawlers lie.

Yeah. You threatened to do that after I playfully bragged I was at the very first, inaugural, absolutely amazing, PAX East.

I'm still holding out hope for "You suck, surprising no one!"
I'm really hoping the movie will finally get some of my friends into Scott Pilgrim at last, given that not one of them will read any kind of book, ever. Illiterate bastards.

Werd, The whole point of a beat'em up is to play them with others in the same room so you can punch them in the arm for stealing your trash can turkey.
Heh, I just noticed Shaw from "Chuck" is playing one of Ramona's evil exes.
In the end, it's François Dillinger vs. Captain America, Superman, Katara, Max Fischer and Three other guys. XD
Stan and Jan The Wonder Twins Katamari?
I had a dream about vol 6 and the movie. I was reading it in bed talking to Jed saying how much it SUCKED! It actually sucked and in my dream I went online and people thought the same thing. It's just a dream. IT'S JUST A DREAM! A pretty bad dream.

Yes, I do overthink things. Why do you ask?
It's nice to see (hear) lots of great lines from the comics in the movie, but I still wait for the bacon one.
