  • Invisible shard of glass in the sink. Dammit, just when the slash in my palm had healed shut.
Fucks! Yeah, broken class in a wet sink is invisible, as I also know from personal experience...

Rym, when did you break your class? Is that why you spell it with a K now?
Arizona School Demands Black & Latino Students’ Faces On Mural Be Changed To White
Arizona has to be punking us now, they have to be...

Also, this is why, if you are in a bar and you see a bartender scooping ice with the glass instead of an ice scoop, you should get get up and walk out right away.
  • Random - I don't know about you, but I always get the shakes real bad afterwards.
After the crisis is dealt with and I'm at home - oh yeah. Big time.
Guess I'm the exception, I walk away from near death driving experiences and say, "can we go again?" But my self assessment at work gives me a panic attack. :P
I'm more like you. Also, tachypsychia is really fun.
  • I hate the world.
They forget the advice they post at their own outlets -

  • Some dude thought it would be really cool to wear a chain mail hood over his normal street clothes out in public. Something like this...

Sir, there is no chance that Grendel will attack you in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Grendel would be the least of his worries. Gangstas would fucking track you down for that kind of bling.
  • I once made an entire chain mail hauberk and coif, very much like the one pictured. It took me months, as I made each ring by hand, as well as all the linking. It's like knitting, in the relaxation way.

I let myself believe that there would be some some quality NS games this weekend. :(

The closest thing to a gangsta in Gig Harbor would be a middle-school poser. You know the kind, you can find them in any suburbia.

Dude, around here, you don't even have to venture to suburbia. Bloody Chavs everywhere.
  • The wireless router that powers my Laptop and Xbox here is clearly down, but the problem is that it is in my roommate's room, that is locked and he is gone for the semester. It's possible for me to fix it, but the people of my Apartment Complex say that they need for HIM to call them and have them unlock the door and tamper with the router.

When you get addicted to Netflix, this can suck...

I spent more than 2 minutes thinking: Ok, so apparently they make netbooks at use PoE now, but xbox? Does he have some PoE to xbox adapter?
  • I'm supposed to graduate high school soon, and I feel as if I have learned nothing over the past five years. ._.

You're not over-exaggerating about this are you?
  • My rep (a democrat) voted against Net Neutrality. She received a harsh E-mail from me asking her to explain her actions. Wonder if I will get a reply. I definitely name dropped that I am a local democratic chairperson and I was very angry. We'll see how this goes. I usually like all her other stances...very disappointing.
  • You're not over-exaggerating about this are you?
Well, OK, I've learned plenty since I was twelve. I just can't shake the feeling that my education has left me completely unprepared for just about everything life is about to throw at me. I suppose it doesn't help that I don't have much to compare myself to beyond my deans-list, 3.8 GPA sister, but I feel like I don't know enough. Like I wasted way too much time doing everything but schoolwork.
  • I can't speak for everyone, but between myself and the people I've talked to about this it seems like that is a mental crisis that a lot of people go through.
  • I just don't feel like the school work prepared me for anything.
  • School and college isn't meant to teach you anything. It's designed to occupy your time until you're old enough to be responsible for yourself. You'll learn how to do that when you get there.

School and college aren't supposed to teach you specific things that are useful (unless it is a trade school) but they are designed to teach you HOW to learn. If you fail to learn this it is your own fault as it IS possible to make it through without noticing this lesson (and many do).

    Le sigh...Indignant parents
It's fun when people don't get education, and the fact that application is much better than memorization.

Oh boy, I guess I'll just be an interventional neuroradiologist right now, then!
