I believe they are a bit confused. Valve basically saved the PC market. What Steam did was kill the retailers who would have died from the unstoppable piracy anyway, except now that games are easily available through the internet, the PC industry actually gets money out of it.

Well, despite the fact that we sent them a fax on Halloween, requesting that they terminate the lease and that the situation violated the Landlord-Tenant Act, they just called me 30 minutes ago, asking for my November Rent.
They chalked up the whole propane experience to "You can't leave your lease because of a bad roommate, you can only get someone to sub-lease." This is just some bullshit, because I firmly believe that it is against the law to not act as a landlord, while your tenant is in a life-threatening situation. It feels like they completely brushed off the experience, thinking it's no big deal. And to charge them for money, when you know for a fact they are not living there anymore because it's still dangerous? Un-fucking-believable.
We might take legal action, depending on how the rest of the family reacts to this news.
The only thing that concerns me at this point, is if I were to be evicted from the apartment, would I suffer any consequences against my credit score or a detail that I've been evicted before when trying to get another apartment?
But yeah, we are gonna get moving. I'm transcribing all the demeaning words the leasing manager left.

You, and the people who dug it up, would have done better by publishing the address of the complaints department or the postmaster for the post office that fired the guy.
