For some reason when my walking/running movement was slowed due to the flooding, it made me really nauseated and dizzy. I died on the boat right before it took off and didn't get to finish the campaign.
I tried to play one more and couldn't finish because I was so nauseated. I thought I was finally getting over my FPS nausea.
I get this too, but only with HL games. My best advice is to play windowed, rather than full-screen. It helps for some reason.
I just had to witness the worst call in the history of the sport of hockey.
Austrian Hockey League, finals, Game 5. One player receives the puck at the blue line, is barely onside, no offside is called, has a breakaway right on the goalie and scores. Goal is allowed, no offside was called. Even the fucking linesman signaled no offside with the washout motion with the arms. The goalie jumps up and goes to complain to the refs. And then, after some deliberation among them, the refs decide that it was offside and overturn the goal call in favor for an offside face-off. That's something the refs can't even fucking do! You can't overturn an onside/offside call!

Peruvian Fail: It looks like two really sucky people are going to the second round in Peruvian politics. One of them is a Chavez follower and the other one is the daughter of the Alberto Fujimori (a guy who thought that the end justify the means, and that basically took over most if not all the media in Peru in 90s) It really sucks, Peru was doing so well until now

It is now...4am and the fire alarm has been going off for an hour. There was a small fire in a first floor apartment of our complex. The sprinkler system was activated and (I assume) doused the flames. However, the water is still running and has been flooding the first two floors. Firefighters can't figure out how to turn off the alarm until the sprinklers are shut off and the building supervisor is 45 minutes out.
Gah I hate shit like that.. I hate how these days everything has to be PC and all cultures are equal. You know what, to me some things that cultures do are just plain wrong. Fuck you, hurting people for no goddamn reason. I'm all for people having different cultures and trying to preserve much of their own cultural identities, but shit like this just has to stop. Fuck them and the horses they rode in on.

The ads would certainly help but a lot of the time I think the parents would just see it as "the man keeping us down" and the daughters would be too scared to say anything. The shelters are probably the best way to go about it, because it gives them a safe haven, whereas if they called some authorities they might fear getting caught and suffering a retaliation.

On a serious note, I abhor the entire idea that it's ok for a culture/religion to do this. It's a barbaric way to deter young women of being sexual or feeling sexually promiscuous so they can stay virgins until marriage.
I agree with Rym, and this sort of thing should be taught in classes when they talk about sexual education to education young women who don't know any better to speak out against their parents.
