Or you learn to comprehend. Me exaggerating the replacement note is to emphasize my point. I expected your big brain to notice and catch on to the exaggeration once having read the tweet... apparently not.

In case you're still stupid, THEY'RE FUCKING CONSIDERING DROPPING AN AWESOME AND PRETTY ORIGINAL IDEA BECAUSE OF WHINING FANS. They're listening to fans BEFORE these have had a chance to play the game. They're being stupid! You should trust them LESS now that they're being stupid.

Their 'transparency' during their game development is great, but they should ignore 99% of the fan feedback during this process. They are making the games, the fans are not.

  • I just took part in a 1 hour 45 minute game. Then the com beaconed, but we'd already moved away from marine start. With one click he suicided us all. I can't wait for NS2.

Ah the old reloc beacon. Good times.
  • My feelers have just found a golden nugget of information:

    http://kotaku.com/5331575/nearly-100-exhibitors-lined-up-for-pax-2009

If you look near the bottom you'll see 'Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Inc.'

I'm not going to PAX myself but I'm sure some of you would take advantage of this situation and maybe bring back some sort of exclusive information...please?

Be careful with that news. It's an antique.
  • Yes yes YES.
  • Just played my first game of NS.

    Oh mans. That was awesome.
  • This game nearly made me not purchase L4D2 as I was afraid it would come out and I would not touch L4D2 ever again. Hopefully, NS2 will come out 2 months or so after L4D2 so I can at least play out the game before I drop it forever.
  • Is it just me, or does that last pic look like the the skulk is saying "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" like the Fonz?

What else would he be saying?
  • Good god. I might actually pay full price for this game. Maybe even buy a real computer to run it on.

Look at the system requirements. You don't need much of a computer to play this.

I have to say this disturbs me as well. To have done all that work on the taser model only to drop it? I have to think that it's not just fan input. There must be some technical hurdle they are struggling with and they want to say to the community: "see we're taking it out becasue you asked for it out!" instead of "we can't really figure out how to program for this weapon..."

Newest post suggests it might be a good deal longer than two months :(

I seriously doubt that programming a taser weapon could pose any real challenge at all...

Yeah, that engine was programmed from the ground up by one guy. I'm sure he could figure out how to work out what is essentially chain lightning.

Yay! I'm away from home, and my gaming PC, until January. This means I might be able to get onto NS2 as it comes out, not months behind.
  • The pre-alpha editor tools just went online.
  • I downloaded it this morning. Finally, my genatalia-shaped Sistine Chapel shall take form!
  • I tried it out for about 30 seconds. It's very very AutoCAD-like. AutoCAD is something I actually ahve a lot of skills in. I didn't even need the video tutorials to start making it do what I wanted it to do. That's amazing considering how bad every other level editor I've ever tried has been.

But what map to make? GN_Siege? Gorge Race? Tanith2?
  • Dust.
    Thunder
  • Dust.
    Thunder
    Iceworld.
  • Marinerace.
  • A land made of boobs.
  • It's best to keep the architecture varied. Maybe a map made entirely of all the naughty bits of human anatomy.

    By your powers combined....
  • First test with map maker.
