I love DJ hero so much. I can't wait until I get it for the Wii.
Anyhow, this song is stuck in my head...AGAIN. Last time it was stuck in my head was years ago, but I stumbled upon it among my music video collection.
Detrimentalisthas the attitude of a hardcore rap album and the sound of Aphex Twin on PCP.
If you haven't listened to Calvacade... and Chocolate Wheelchair yet, you should. I'm so partial to Funk's funk breaks on the latter; it's like Afrika Bambaataa on whippits.
Also, Squarepusher's "E8 Boogie" is the same type of hallucinogenic funk, but unlike VSnares, this is just cold, hard Jazz-Funk instrumentation pushed to inhuman speed and precision.
I've been listening to a lot of the Black Diamond Heavies. Their music is this great sort of raw, sexual blues with a thick coating of engine grease. Also, the lead singer sounds like Tom Waits, so dig that.

I just started listening to Parachutes by Coldplay. I've been a fan of X&Y; for a long time and this is shaping up to be just as good.

Electronica / Ghettotech / Hip Hop. Likes to use <=70s vocal samples.
...I feel like I should have embedded some YouTube in this thread.
Though a rather good one, has pookeyman in it:
I've been studying to Deltron 3030, Handsome Boy Modelling School, Kanye, and Dr. Octagon. It's that kind of week.
