  • Hmm, I think my person will enjoy something handmade. But I'm not that good at crafts, just drawing.
Last I checked, you use your hands to draw.

Yeah, you'll just erase all of her memories.

    It's all good, though. Viga's drawbot =! a person.

Seriously, I would kill for something like that. Just give me a gun, and point.
  • I don't know what to do for my person. I will have to search their comments on the forum.
  • Does it go against SRCFSS rules to just post here a general overview of ones likes and hobbies as to make it easier for your FSS?
  • RO: 24 people exactly, counting myself.
MrRoboto: No, I wouldn't think so. But to be cute, make it out to be a letter to santa.
  • I'll be posting something later then.

    Dear Santa,

I like vikings! They are so cool and big and strong and SCARY! I heard a viking went up to an old woman once and looked her right in the face and went RARGH I AM A BIG SCARY VIKING and the old woman died of fright right there! That's so cool! When I grow up, I want to be JUST LIKE THEM and have my own death metal band and everything! Did you know the vikings made death metal? I've been a good boy all year, so I wish for the pelt of Fenrir, Mjollnir, Megingjoro, and Jarngreipr, so I can be just like Thor!

    Peter

P.S. I would also like a chariot pulled by small horses! I don't want ponies. They're stupid and they smell funny.

EDIT: But seriously, for anyone who doesn't know, I like vikings, metal music, beer, gin, Nuri, and food. Not necessarily in that order. I like lots of other things too, but those are some of my more prominent likes.

  • I would like $125 a month to park my car. I would also like a Lenovo Elite Thinkpad X301, as my laptop is slowly dying.

    Also, a pony.

    This kind.

    Dear Mr. Kringle:

I am writing in response to your standing yearly offer of gifts, presents, and holiday goodies gifts for "good little girls and boys." While I am not certain how you, personally, are defining what constitutes "good", I can say that I have not committed any major crimes, I attempt to help my fellow man (even when they are quite annoying), I think animals and children are delightful, and I attempt to keep my carbon footprint fairly low. I am also unclear as to your definition of a "little girl". While I have reached the age of legal majority, I am only 5' 2" and I consider myself fairly youthful and exuberant. I am what one might call a child at heart. That is not to say that I have stolen a child's heart and replaced my own adult heart with a child's, I merely mean to say that I am unusually immature for my age and find great enjoyment in nonsense, flibbitigibbitery, and whooey.

If you feel that I meet your qualifications of goodness, littleness, and girlishness (or boyishness, if you deem me to be particularly boyish), then I would like to make you aware of my personal preferences and interests to aid you in optimal gift giving. In my spare time I am a singer/songwriter, actress, avid reader, occasional seamstress, and writer. I enjoy whimsical, silly gifts that bring smile for years, books of almost any variety (though I particularly enjoy older sci-fi, "deeper" fantasy, newer plays, history, anthropology, and socio-political perspectives, and any text that promises a good think, a good laugh, or a good cry), new music of almost any variety, chocolate (all varieties welcome, but dark chocolate preferred), colorful or interesting accessories (scarves, gloves, hats, jewelry), handmade goods are always interesting and thoughtful, dachshund themed novelties (for a lark), art work, and really - almost anything that is sent with good cheer.

I am grateful for your time and consideration in this matter and I wish you a Merry Christmas (as that appears to be your preferred winter holiday).

    Very truly,

    Kate

  • Damn it! 5 days does not a week make!...oh well maybe next year...
I ran into the same problem. I thought we had until today to submit.
  • I've come up with a good idea for my gift, but it might take me some time to make it. So, to the person I've got, you may be getting it after the holiday. Don't worry; I'm sure you'll like it.
  • If more people want to do it, I would be willing to organize it for you. Please whisper me with the information by 12/14/2009 at 11:59 p.m. E.S.T.

    Dear Mr. Claus,
Hello, how are things doing up there? I see you like the cold, eh. I'm just telling you that I am an immense music/instrument whore geek, specially in the genres of metal and elvish/medieval folk. Do you like metal, Mr. Claus? I'm also a huge fan of the eldritch and the occult/macabre. But I'm sure you're not into that stuff though. Hope you enjoy your decent down all of the world's ceiling apertures.

    Sincerely,

    Count Ivan Von D'Cielmorte III

    Dear Mr Sandy Claws

I just don't know what to say, I am sorry for shooting that RPG at you, trying to make a Christmas Black Hawk Down,
I would like to put this behind us. I would like you to give that Elf of yours Brain Lee O'Mally a pay rise, as we writes such interesting fiction. If you could get some of his skin, other works, badges, or anything to do with Scoot Pilgrim, Steam, Badges or Comics and Manga that would be nice.

    Konnichiwa, Santa-san!

I like to be a good geek gal next door. I love geeky things, but most of all I love anything anime related. Also, although I'm a nice girl, I like evil dark things. I love black and purple, do things like going to goth clubs and cemetery picnics. I also somehow find the glow of a computer screen in the dark inviting.

I hope you don't put me on the naughty list for owning yaoi.

  • Hey, Nick!

Long time no see. Still with that, umm, wife of yours..? What's her name, again? Anyway, how's that going? Oh yeah? That's great. Anyway, I like me some geeky stuff, some comics, some good books, some vidjergames (although if that's what you're thinking, don't bother, 'cause I don't have any way to play them at the moment), some animes, you know, the usual. Robots are good, too. But, since I can get most of that stuff anyways, I appreciate most a gift that is unexpected, yet totally awesome. I will post a photo of me with it, whatever it is, so if you drop the ball, the forum, nay, the ENTIRETY OF THE INTERNET will know. No pressure.

    Friends for life,
    Me

    Dear Santa!

I am a nice little animator girl, and I want a copy of Maya 2009 plus zbrush for Christmas. However, seeing as they combined Unlimited and Standard Maya Editions and made the whole thing upwards of 3,900 dollars, I really doubt that it'll be in my stocking this year. What I actually want is a little darling something. I love independent graphic novels, Japanese cute things, knitted goods like scarves, etsy crafts, gamer chic, and gadget/computer accessories. I like animals and anime, and I especially like things that are lovely and useful in my daily life.

    I love you Santa!

Oh great bearded one of many elves, reindeer, and toys!

I write this letter to ya as a humble retro gamer and craft geek, if you by any chance find some old NES or Atari 2600 games on your 1$ bin, or any related stuff, I'd be glad to take it from your hands (just don't send me any copies of the mario/final fantasy/zelda games or river city ransom.), if not, anything that may require assembly on my part will be fine as well or any crafty thing you may wish to make is also appreciated.

    Godspeed Mr. Claus!

  • Hey santa,

I have been good this whole year, trust me. My list is mega this year but maybe something science fiction-ish would be nice.

    Have a rad christmas all.
  • Godspeed Mr. Claus!
    Godspeed indeed.
  • Dear Gift-receiver,

With all due respect, fuck your suggestions. Who's supposed to be the Santa, here? Seriously, I got this thing covered. I know you even more than you do.

    How's that for creepy?

    Love,
    Your Santa

PS, could you start speaking more clearly into your phone? My wiretap has been acting up lately.
