Had a nice board game day yesterday, played some Tichu, Alien Encounters, Guillotine, 7 Wonders, and Glen Moore. I am looking to get some 2 player games in my library for future gaming events since I got the 3-5 people groups covered. Any suggestions?
In all seriousness it is an out of print game that I am able to find EVERYWHERE. The object of the game is to build a village to get goods to acquire beer, victory points, or castles. You make villages to be able to build your town, but it can not be TOO big. Because for every piece you have in over the smallest city you LOSE 3 victory points. It is a very tricky tile placing game with multiple methods of winning. If you want a copy I can grab one fairly easily in my neck of the woods.
Also forgot to mention Summoners' War as another game I played yesterday.
Speaking of rondel games, I've managed to fit in a couple sessions of Navegador, by the same creator as Imperial and Imperial 2030, and I love it. An exploration/market game with absolutely no dice? Sign me up!

Antike is the first game I ever played with a rondel. Thank you Connecticon library.
On that same website, you can find the creator talk in some depth on 15 of the cards within it, as well as him talking on the origin and history of the set.

It was revealed at least some days ago because I was reading the rules pdf.

You need to seek out Ora et Labora at PAX Prime. It's Uwe Rosenberg's take on the rondel, so you know it's gonna be good. I had a very fun time with it at DexCon. Definitely a game I'd like to sink my teeth into more.

My win ratio in that game is around 85%, I am insane at it and it is very good.

So, I burned the last of my store credit before going off to school to get Lords of Waterdeep. If you want Caylus Baby Mode, get Lords of Waterdeep. It's a fun fucking game.
Last night was a good game with board gaming with some thoughts:
- I can never play board games with my room mates, they either give up and not play to win or use their relationship to not realize that the winning move is to screw with each other.
- I played an awesome board game, sadly due to the state of my head I forgot the name of it, but took a picture!
It is a war game without the majority of the bullshit in taking over various forces. You have two on offense, one on defense and the one who has the most influence wins. It is the race to be second this entire game and I would pick it up, once I can read the title of it in this picture....
- Big Bang Theory: The Party game is an improvement over Apples to Apples but is no where close to Cards Against Humanity
- Do not play a language game during midnight after playing board games for over eight hours, brain goes into Swiss cheese mode.
Since PAX is over for me (back to work), I'll just do a little rundown of the games I played/learned this weekend. Sadly, not nearly as many as I would've liked.
Dominion: Dark Ages expansion - Didn't play with a lot of the new cards, but I definitely like the things the expansion does with giving you lots of cards to upgrade other cards with. Keeps the deck small, but not in the painful way a lot of Intrigue's cards do.
7 Wonders: Cities expansion - Very fun expansion to one of my favorite games. Like the new mechanics, especially with larger groups.
Timeline - It's a decent little time killer. Easy to win if you've played it enough times.
Bohnanza - Probably my favorite game of the weekend, if for no other reason than to see Rym and Scott constantly fighting against each other (while they also struggled to stay awake). It was good enough that I bought it last night.
Tentacle Bento - This is basically rummy-lite with anime stylings. The theme of the game is to capture schoolgirls, and to do a capture, you need a location, a girl (or 2 or 3), and a method. The game has a significant flaw in that once you are out of cards, there's really nothing you can do for a long period of time, but it was still fun just for the flavor text on the cards, which were all double entendres.
And that was mostly it. Played a couple other things, watched some of my friends play a lot of the new D&D 5th Ed beta, and had some large games of Cards Against Humanity and Werewolf.
Unrelated, last night when I bought Bohnanza, I also bought Eclipse. Looking forward to finally trying that one out.
I'm looking for a party game that's fairly simple and supports at least ten or so people. We already have Cards Against Humanity, and I'm looking for something else that can be played with floor mates. Suggestions?
Cash 'n' Guns is good, but only plays up to seven (with the expansion, which I think is necessary for maximum fun). I'm also a big fan of Bang!, but people tend to be mixed on it.

The running out of cards thing is pretty suck. I kinda feel that you need to hold onto some cards to keep yourself going rather than capturing every girl you can. I understand you're supposed to be a tentacle monster but show some self restraint! ^_^
I played this card game called Sentinels of the Multiverse. It's similar to Arkham Horror with all the players fighting a big bad guy in a specific location that has mostly minor effects on the gameplay and all the players use their abilities from their decks to murder the boss. All the bosses have somewhat different win conditions, each hero has it's own deck and play style. Thankfully they don't have the "don't talk to each other" rule, we played with our hands face up most of the time. It's not a difficult or a brain burner game but it's fun and the theme is entertaining.
Got a demo of a 13th Age game by a English gentleman named Ash. It was fun. A simplified version of dnd, somewhere's between 3.5 and 4th with some interesting mechanics borrowed from some indy games, the one unique thing is like burning wheel's beliefs. I liked the escalation in combat, as combat continues each round everyone gets a cumulative +1 bonus (I'm unsure if this applies to monsters because they didn't get a chance to attack us), and the world was pretty interesting as well.
New Dominion expansion: good. Fun. Maybe not amazing, but I like Dominion the best with new stuff and learning.
Kingdom Builder: seems classy and my first impression was very high praise. Simple, fast, reasonable strategic depth. Ordered as soon as I remembered I could on my smartphone.
Shadow hunters: would play again. Felt that my first game was a little awkward because there was a knowledge gap.
Cyberpunk chicken game: would play, but definitely not o on my collection priorities. Seems fun and stabby, but actually winning/losing doesn't seem that neat to me.
Paiko: little indy strategy game with no secret information or randomness for two players. Has potential. I think it still needs a little polish and maybe some minor mods possibly, but development looks far enough along that I can't immediately find any flaws.
Castle scenario game thing with dice assignment : ill play it again when the guy that knows the rules has any skill whatsoever at communication of said rules. Practically couldn't hear him, and I ended up sucking. I don't blame the game here. A combination of myself and that guy.
7 wonders expansions: like them both. Leaders more than black cards, but it's all playable and fresh.
Power grid china: weirdly scripted feeling. Didn't finish. Want more data.
Quarriors: like the idea, but like Dominion (and kinda magnified by extra randomness) you can get some less fun supply sets. Still defs worth playing and ill gladly play more.
King of tokyo: boring random semi scripted time filler game. Good for that.
Cards against humanity: played it before, but just kinda sick of it after a million rounds. Reveals interesting things about difference in personalities sometimes. And obviously senses of humor. Won $5 off rym.

Curious to know whether you played with the original rules, or the new "can buy two dice per turn, must cull a die in order to score points with it" rules, which I think make for a much better game.
Kingdom Builder: Fun. Pretty much what Creamsteak said. It's crazy easy to learn and play. I've already purchased it and should be arriving tomorrow.
7 Wonders Cities Expansions: Love the leaders as well as the diplomacy chip. Totally takes you out of combat and it resolves to the next person.
Infiltration: Press your luck being a spy and stealing information. I won the game by basically staying back and letting everyone else fuck shit up to their doom.
Eleminis: Silly, random, cute elements game. Good for just killing time, but probably better with 4-8 players. 3 or less is not so fun. Scott Rubin was enamored with the game because the elements had googly eyes that made it look cute.
Takenoko: finally played it the right way. I've played the game at least 4 times going by the incorrect rules. Now I can see why the irrigation sticks are worth getting.
Dominion Dark Ages: Prepare to have your trash pile overflowing. The new cards are decent. They have a lot of good mechanics with trashing that you have to play just so in order to be effective. We mainly played with DA alone or DA with either Alchemy, Cornucopia, or Hinterlands per the suggested decks.

Also, I must be the only person in the world who doesn't enjoy CAH
