    Yes, I'm confused as well

Jacket pockets: Blackberry Tablet. Card holder. Phone. 2 Cola vouchers and 5 monies. Also 2 plane tickets... and a pocket watch? Actually I knew I had this, but when did I put it in the new jacket? I wonder if it still works-- Oh hey, it does. But I think it's wrong.

Bag: Laptop. PSP. So far so good. 2 letters, a print out of a receipt.. drawings of what I can only describe as pony porn (It's not what you think!) Gamestop plastic bag. Drawing tablet pen (but no drawing tablet). And a stick of ram -- I don't know what the story behind this one is.

Edit: Until very recently I used to always carry my passport on me without knowing.

Probably still an equally good source of protein.

  • You know who you are
  • That's a good lookin knife there, new guy. Manufacturer?
Thanks, it a Kershaw, 1640 Vapor. Design by Ken Onion.
Ha, I knew it. I love ken onion's knives and was certain by the compact design, although I'm not a huge fan of the skeletonized handle.

Also if anyone is looking for a wallet still, I make them from leather. I can carve just about anything you want and they have a good thin profile but still have enough room to hold the important stuff.

My guess is that they found a wallet to their liking by now though.

Nowdays - Wallet(a few ID, my shitty paper license because transport are dumb, cards, a little cash, go-card/myki, initial D arcade card, library card, door shim), Pen, thin notepad, phone, lighter, Leatherman, knife(just for simple stuff that I don't necessarily want to use my leatherman for, so it's a cheap-but-decent-quality folder).

  • It used to be wallet, phone, and keys. Looked almost exactly like Sail's photo.

Nowadays, it's usually nothing. Because I'm biking, everything is in the bag.
ditto, except if I don't need a bag, I wear a man purse for my wallet and keys if I'm cycling.

Harmonica, cigarettes, ID (sometimes), a lighter (when I can find one), cash, and a knife on my belt. In my bag I usually have two or three books, a notebook, a pen and pencil, some water, and often, depending on where I go, something less than legal.

It might be unwise alluding to carrying Kinder Surprise chocolates in your bag on a public forum.

  • I don't care who knows and if you dip in my stash I will cut you with the tiny knife on my belt.
  • Nah cuz, we're like the Netherlands up in here - you can sit in a cafe and eat Kinder Surprise eggs all you like.

Can I get a hookup? How much for an egg of eggs?

  • Hell yeah, but it ain't cheap man. The eggs are low-cost, but the postage is where they get you. And by postage, I mean smuggling. You ever seen Miami Vice? Those cigarette boats ain't cheap.

Here's what I usually carry. I know the knives are a little overkill, but the Victorinox Cadet is so thin that you forget its in your pocket, and I just always like having a Swiss Army Knife with me. The main knife varies but for some reason I keep coming back to my cheapo spyderco/byrd. The leatherman stays in a little sheath on my belt and its barely noticable, especially compared to my Leatherman Wave. Sometimes I carry a small flashlight but it depends on the day and I haven't found one I'd carry everyday just yet.

What about sheaths? I'm still looking for a decent leather Mora knife sheath.

When it comes to pocket knives the Victorinox Recruit has served well for many years.

Have been wanting to upgrade to the RescueTool One Hand though.

  • Pockets: Smartphone, wallet, change, keys.

Backpack: Legal pad, moleskine, Kindle, Nexus 7, 3DS, PSP, FATE Core System book, Nettrunner cards, spare charger, PocketRef, dynamo USB charger, whoopie cushion, playing cards (for playing), playing cards (for practicing tricks), mechanical pencil, spare lead, eraser.

I second the recruit. It was my first real Swiss Army Knife and I used it for quite a few years. I don't really carry it anymore since I don't want to lose it, but its a great knife and one of the most inexpensive ones too. I don't have the RescueTool, but I have the German Army Trekker, which is very similar and I'm quite happy with it. The serrations on the main blade are a little strange but I like that they're not nearly as aggressive as most are.

  • The main reason for wanting the 'RescueTool One Hand' upgrade is that I drive a car too, and it's designed for emergency situations.

One of the blades is designed for cutting through seatbelts, and also has a window breaker. Should I ever get into a situation to need one, unlikely as that might be, would be good to know I have necessary survival tools handy.
  • Oh I don't blame you. I put a ResQme on my keys whenever I'm going to be in a car. My main issue with rescue knives is just that I like to switch between knives a lot so I would only have the rescue knife with me part of the time.
