Finally back at my apartment. Didn't take any carnage shots as it was pouring cats and dogs outside. Luckily a friend was able to pick us up and bring us back to my apartment.
So I was all set to buy a GTI, but I was losing too much money on my trade and I'd end up owing $30K on a new base model GTI. Just a terrible idea. So I got my Saab back from my parents. Now I mentally can't justify the $500 a month car payment on a car that's a weekend toy. So I'm putting the miata up for sale.
From here the plan is save up money for as long as I can and buy a WRX outright with that when my Saab either dies or needs such a major repair as to not be worth fixing.
I sometimes see burnouts end with fire, but rarely do I see them start with it. Also, I've never heard a car sound so much like someone was shouting YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Also, in answer to your question of "How much horsepower does that thing have?" the answer is ALL OF IT.
Also, Here's an eleven minute movie car chase spliced together from other movies.
The story thus far: Will Smith is chasing Trinity after she tries an escape with the secret documents. Sean Connery is not far behind and Nicolas Cage tries to keep up, but Matt Damon intervenes. A huge meta car chase ensues.
There is literally everything in this. It is the most Michael Bay thing you have ever seen.

Even the car is having fun!

You know what that was? That was "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" but with cars.
So after like 8 years, I finally decided to get rid of the Z after much thought. So I sold it and gathered a bit of extra money to buy this:
A 1974 Chevy Nova 4 doors (yes I know, it's a 4 door, yes I know the 74 has the ugly bumper safety extensions)
Inside of it lives a Chevy 350 with a 3 speed manual box.
It had a Rochester 4barrel carb that was kinda busted, so I swapped it for a Holley 4barrel (not in the picture)
First day
After a week of cleaning new valve covers, new cables, the electric stuff redone and tucked inside neat tubes, rebuild radiator, new hoses, new bigger fuel pump, new belts, new spark plugs and tons of elbow grease...
Still looks like a dirty piece of rust... BUT IT'S MY DIRTY PIECE OF RUST.
If all goes according to schedule, the car will be running and done in 3 more weeks
So I've begun ripping my saab apart to try and figure out why it isn't boosting. Last week I ruled out the spark plugs and the air filter. I put high quality Shell gasoline in today. And just now I took the turbo bypass valve off and inspected it. It's in great shape. The vacuum lines attached to it thought are not looking so hot. They're my next plan of attack.
WOOOOOO, I fixed it! The vacuum line that attaches to the bypass valve had popped off of the manifold. Put it back on and had full boost again instantly.
So, apparently the Abarth 500 isn't terribly expensive. It might be my next car after I pay off the Speed3. Either that, or the new Mini Coupe or whatever they're called. I saw one parked yesterday while on my run.. it's pretty nice looking. I'm pretty sure women just hurl themselves towards whatever is in the driver's seat of that car.

Why would you want a smaller car that costs nearly as much as your larger and much much more powerful car?
I drive less than 4 miles a day typically between work and school (if I'm feeling lazy and don't want to walk) and make semi regular (2-4 per month) multi hour road trips to see friends. I'm looking for something that'll be reliable and decent on gas but is still fun to drive. My current car (Honda Accord) hits the first two nicely but fails miserably on the last.
Depends on how large are you, if you are medium to small build, it's pretty solid, if you are somewhat tall or overweight it's kinda crap (also if you have more than one friend)
Because of the road trips, I'd advise against it. The first few times you'll think it's not so bad. Around 10 road trips you'll think it wasn't such a good idea. Around 20 trips you'll pretty much hate it.

A sickeningly good burnouts from Summernats 25, Australia's ongoing effort to make Burnouts a legitimate motorsport.
All those little hachi-rokus!!!!

There is a part of me (the crazy part) that wants to get an old Chevy sedan like a Caprice and make a sleeper out of it.
A Bukkake Veyron.
What sort of driving is everyday for you? How often do you take road trips?
Might I suggest a wrx?
