  • Not really, fire puzzles would be problematic.
Oh, I don't know. You could do them once.
  • The biggest problem is doors. Right now every door is actually a door. we have no way to lift or move actual stones short of dynamite.
  • I have 4 portals in the real world that go to the same spot in the nether and I only placed one. Yay free obsidian!
  • I'm lost in a massive cave system.
  • Head upwards, caves tend to go up or down somewhat consistently.
  • At wost, you can make a compass and dig your way to the surface.
  • I learned my lesson in pokemon. I always carry enough wood to do a ladder escape.
  • Note to self: the game will screw you over if you die without leaving markers find program to even odds....
  • Capped it! (And the Bundys.)

I found a saddle in a dungeon! What do I do with it?

Edit: I found out and you can ride a pig. No seriously

You can't it, you can't reclaim it, and you can not control the pig, now I want my record.

    Highly Relevant.

Indeed. I found a nice utility that lets me pin windows anywhere on the screen. It shan't be necessary any longer once my DVI adapter arrives this week from Amazon, because I'll hook up the second monitor for video.

I got mine by accident. I boxed myself in to a small space and took out one square. The skeleton shot through the hole but there was a creeper in front of it.
  • I've found two copies of the same one in dungeons near one of my bases.
  • Found some lava for the first time. With my face.
  • Congratulations.
  • My brother told me that last night he dreamed that Notch went up to God and asked him to port his map generation code into Java.

Wow. Update released a few minutes ago makes modding textures a lot easier. It adds a button to the main menu to facilitate quick texture dumps.

  • I found my first dungeon today.
  • What kind? I hope you didn't do it wrong.

It was a zombie spawner. I put torches around it and when it seemed safe, tried and failed to replace them with cacti. I didn't have enough sand.

  • Cacti don't work well; they destroy items.
You need to build a drowning trap if you want to make use of the spawner.

Darn, I thought the cacti would be a simpler solution. Would they still destroy the drop if they were on the walls but not the floor?

  • That depends on the drop mechanics; I think you'd lose some, but some would remain depending on your arrangement.
  • Today I was really happy for Minecrafts multiplayer possibilities. We have a server, but it ran an old map so we had no biomes and we were missing some other stuff too so we desited to start over with a new map. But before that we had to do the last thing. Blow everything up. We all got TNT and we destroyed our own castes, bases and lairs.

I had made a hole in the lake I don't have any before pictures, but was was left after explosion was beautiful.

Notice flying diamondblock, I have no idea where did that come from.

    Alternative view.

Also when I blow that up, I fell down the hole and saw the water fall down on me. It was simply beautiful.
  • What server are you playing on? Perhaps we as forumites should all play one multiplayer server.
  • Once survival multiplayer works properly, I will definitely play with you guys.

I kinda like that there is no enemies in the multiplayer. People can focus on creating awesome stuff, chance to show it to each other and creation of shared world full of awesome makes it interesting enough.
