Once survival multiplayer works properly, I will definitely play with you guys.
I kinda like that there is no enemies in the multiplayer. People can focus on creating awesome stuff, chance to show it to each other and creation of shared world full of awesome makes it interesting enough.
No, I need to be able to lure a creeper into your base.
Crashes causing world resets can be helpful when they don't get you stuck inside blocks because your inventory usually stays the same. I got to mine the same diamonds twice.
I nearly shat myself while mining mossy cobble from my dungeon. I had the spawner locked down. When I mined the second block, A zombie came right from the spot I had just mined. I froze up in shock and died. I went back and got my stuff.
I take it back, my game crashed after I made a minecart track. It's probably gone. Edit: Actually it's still there only some of the stone I put on the edges is gone.

Minecraft has an excellent pants-shitting to grinding ratio.
OK, What the fuck Notch. I died in my mine because I was low health and took a bit of a fall. On my return, the whole fucking cave (steps dug down to bedrock) is filled in.
I remember there being talk of a multiplayer FRC server. Did we say we were going to wait until the survival mode was working properly before starting this up? I only mention it because I may be able to host a server at some point in the near future.

DO IT. DO IT NOW.
I would love to build a city with everyone, regardless of the less-than-perfect MP survival situation. I'll even build you a hot tub.
It's just that right now Multiplayer is a building enviroment, but that's about it. The server would crash fairly often, minecarts would bug out (think this was fixed), boats don't work, and a variety of other bugs, but it's definitely playable. We had a decent little place going before I took the server down.
Boats work now. Many bugs were fixed in the Halloween update.
The biggest benefit of multiplayer survival is that it still makes you work to get resources. Earning blocks makes building much more rewarding than just being given them.

Yeah, but there's a /iron and I think a /wood command. That seems kinda silly.
Edit: Overall though, I'd definitely hop on a server, but I can't host one here.

But I find it so much more entertaining when someone else gives me wood.
Anybody want to swap screenshots of your creations? I will post more of mine when I get home! It will be neat to see the different architecture approaches we all take.

Should we post them in this thread, or should we have a seperate Minecraft Screenshots thread? Too redundant?

The next step would be craftable firearms using craftable cartridges, probably something like iron on top of gold on top of gunpowder to get 8 rounds.
