1) We're on a little break right now because of the holidays, so we likely won't record until sometime in the later part of January.
2) Podcasts will still come out. We have seven already recorded and waiting to be edited. I don't plan to miss a week.
3) Omar, Ro, and Kevin and pretty much permanent panelists. Because I like them. And they are smart. Except Omar, who stays only because I like his accent. But his taste in movies sucks.
4) The fourth seat will rotate in, and as you've undoubtedly noticed I've been gunning for other podcasters I like and getting lucky as fuck. Rym has said he wants to come on, and I assume he speaks for Scott since they are married. I have commitments from two other people, and I hereby officially petition Thaed and Luke Burrage to be contestants.
5) Thank you for your warm offers to help with questions. That said, I am kind of a control freak about content. If you want to submit questions, send them to reporterjason@gmail.com, where they will likely be edited. If I get enough submitted, we might even do a "listener questions" game.
6) To be clear: There's no shortage of questions. I can't stop thinking up new ones at the most inopportune times. My reporter notebook is full of them, just waiting to be used. Anyone who's been on the show knows the master list o'categories is, like, five miles long. My issue is that I don't want all the questions to be restricted to my own little world.
7) ATW9K has been incredibly successful already, far outpacing my expectations. Our numbers are booming. There are things in the works. Thank you all for listening!

I'm the token Va-jay-jay.
Omar is the token third world country person to give it that international flare.
Kevin is the resident canuck to make fun of whenever he says words with "oo" or "ou" and to blame him for Justin Beiber.
When we Canadians try to look down our noses at Banana Republics we fail miserably because we can't help think how lovely and warm it would be there, fragile regimes notwithstanding.

We Americans prefer Gap or Old Navy to Banana Republic.

Sure, I'd love to be part of it. A better way to officially petition me would be by email, but you know I read this thread, I guess. My next Thursday free is February 3rd, but you said you won't be able to do any recordings until late January.

What kind of numbers are you talking about? Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands? I ask because in the past few months my listener numbers have had a big upswing, to well over 4,000 downloads per episode. I'm not sure this is something specific to my podcast getting more popular, or podcasts in general due to some setting change in iTunes or similar.

No upswing for GeekNights. Instead, there is the annual holiday downswing.
First, I'm sorry for my microphone. It had a short and staticked up the show.
Richard Smith of the Movies You Should See podcast (and a host of others) is back with us to tackle James Bond films in our Bidding War and memorable television theme songs in the Rank and File game.
In the Hot Seat, Kevin revisits The Empire Strikes Back, Omar likes puppies, Rich casts his memories back to arcade days, and Ro plays "Cage Rage: A Tribute to the Greatest Movie Ever Podcast's Tribute to Nicolas Cage."
1). How the heck did you get Richard Smith on your show?! 2). This really makes me want to go on and try some European History questions. The problem is that I fail epically at almost everything movie-related.

I'm in glazed-over-ready-for-the-holiday-weekend mode. Don't mind me.
Or maybe you don't like us as much. Which is it, "friend"?
Also, I'm more than willing to admit the fact that the show works a lot better when Jason has contestants that lived through the '80s.

New episode comes out Wednesday featuring Dave Riley and Graz.
We're recording this Thursday, n'est pas?
