You understand that it's not the conjoining of the two words that's the problem. It's the use of the word "fagot." Unless you're a British dude talking about a cigarette, you leave that one alone. I'm down with swearsies until they turn into bigotry.
Oh, yeah, I understand that. Again, really sorry for having used it. It's never in my head as the derogatory term, just as a common swear. Probably not any better, but I felt the need to explain myself.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaah. We're going to change that.
Is it sad when you are looking up information on circuits to create a double door security system for your house in minecraft? I am trying to see if I could have an internal lock plus a means to open the door in case I am outside
I still have no idea how circuits work in game or how to make pressure-plate activated things or even how to make a functioning rail system. Also magnets. How the fuck do the work?

This is a good series of videos on how to make basic logic gates and such. Eventually he covers some abstract stuff on how to make locks, but you will have to sort out the actual circuitry of that.
I've cobbled together a working server mod with scraps and pieces of hackneyed half-solutions from the hMod forums. So our baby is back up and running. It is slow. Please do not post that it is slow. I know it is slow. It is not lag. It is not latency. It has nothing to do with the connection or the server itself. The issue is with the beta release. Notch has posted that he is working on beta bugfixes, then he disabled comments on his blog. Fun.
Yup. That was fun for the four minutes it lasted. The server log is basically screaming in pain over memory overflow problems.
I guess we all have to sit and spin until Notch does something.
There is a more complicated but maybe better solution. I could roll the server back to alpha, then I'd have to distribute an alpha jar to all of you, teach you how to overwrite the beta one, then teach you how to stop the exe from auto-updating. But that is really complicated, and I'm tired.
What is the most important thing in the gaming, having the game work. Notch did the beta jump too soon what he should have done is re-skinned the latest alpha into the beta.
Another bug just popped up in beta in which none of the text appears for any of the menu buttons, the MOTD, or any in-game numbers on stacks of materials. Good times, good times.
Looks like Notch is fixing the SMP issues. I can't wait to get home and patch up our server... and play some new Steams... and edit the podcast... and buy last-minute Christmas gifts... and wrap presents... and make shit for the office Christmas party tomorrow... and maybe talk to Lisa somewhere in there, if it can be arranged.

I am confused as to the relevance of this part of your post.
As in, he's ignoring the people complaining and telling him what's wrong with the patch.
That... no. People who are going to tell him about the problems are going to send him bug reports. The people who want to tell him he is a sad excuse for a human being and call the people who show anything less than pure hatred towards Notch are going to comment on the blog.
No, Sail's correct. The MC community blows, but shutting down blog comments will cause bugs that don't present error reports to simply go unnoticed.
First of all, if your bug reports come through blog comments, then you have a problem. You should have a proper bug reporting system.
Secondly, even if comments are getting really bad, do NOT turn them off. That is a very bad PR move. Leave the comments on, and just ignore them completely. If their is a spam problem, why aren't you using Akismet? If you want to improve quality, get some user moderation in there, or enforce grammar and spelling.

Actually, having a sand barge would be pretty cool.
Also, there are no magnets.

Guess who won't be playing Minecraft for a long time?
Good times, good times.
Poop, eat, podcast, minecraft, poop again, Lisa, Steam, dogs, clean out my car, finish the book I've been working on, poop one more time, Lisa.
