  • I jumped on earlier, and I must say you guys have made some impressive stuff since I was on last. The sky castle and pyramid in particular are very well done.
    Also some images of my somewhat complete room for those of you who haven't looked for it:

  • Rather than shutting down the old server, one option is to find someone willing to run it for a while as a "museum" for people to explore while you actively build in another server.
  • Or you could find a way to turn it into a single player save for people to wander around.

    piece of crap still refuses to load, cleared all my cache, switched to several DNS including google, NOTHING!
    Seems like google DNS finally kicked in!

    BTW damage to sky palace was minimum, I've fixed it, hope you like what i did with it <_<

    The game crashed, and I can't log back in...

  • Logging in might be a little easier now. That is all I will say, for the fear of the wrath of the gods.
  • BTW, Sonic -- it will help significantly if you turn your rendering distance to normal instead of far.

    It's a giant penis, isn't it.

    Yeah, I saw the note in Secondus.

    I'll make sure it's not a giant penis as soon as day breaks.

  • As long as it wasn't created using Kinect, I'm sure no one will be that bothered.
  • Yeah, I'm lost as shit. Currently generating a map using minetographer, after drawing a Recognizable Glyph on the grass in sand so that I can find myself.

    I need to build myself a compass or something.

    Got bored with my mountain fortress, started something new.

    image

    What you see on the left seems like an ordinary lake, but the bottom is actually covered with snow instead of sand. Building under the lake would have been impossible otherwise because sand falls through, so snow serves as a look-alike. The entrance (for now) can be seen on the right.

    Follow the hallway and you'll find my underground ice palace in progress, with the lake located directly above it.

  • I'll post some pics once I make some more progress on my sky pavilion.
  • FYI, sandstone is a brand new block that may interest you, Sail.

    Sky Palace progress:
    Pathway = 100%
    Lobby = 100%
    The Halo Garden = 100%
    The Dawn Room = 100%
    The Reading Room = 100%
    The Grand Library = 100%
    The Fragile Dream Arboretum = 90%
    The Spiral Tower = 0%
    The sleeping quarters = 0%
    The Tomb of Burning Tears = 99.9%

    Signage is now up for each of the areas as well.
    I need glass and about 12 gold ingots.

  • I need a new project. Inspiration, that's what I need. I'm off to find my muse. Hopefully she's in a good mood.
  • There should be some gold ingots in my boxes, if you would like them. I have no plans for them.

    Finally, I have selected a home for myself - Take the wooden foot-bridge as if you were going to sonic's sky pavilion, keep heading west as close to that line as possible, and eventually you'll come to a giant lake, with a C hovering over it made of dirt, and a torch-covered C on top.

    It's marking my proposed site, yes, but mostly because, from experience, if I don't put a big garish, easy to see mark on it, I tend to lose track of where I left the fuckin' thing.

    Edit - If you want to see the site, you can do that, anyway. At the moment, there's bugger all there, except for some torches, dirt, and the two big Cs.

  • Reminder: The server will be down tonight for about two hours, just like it is every Thursday night. This is to accommodate recording of Atomic Trivia War 9000.

    In other news, it's been quiet on the server lately. I took a little break myself. I'd like to get a little more community going.

    I've been plugging away at my mine and my pavilion. I hit some gold the other day.
  • Where is the Sky Pavilion, Sonic? I'd love to tour it.
    Also, any hints on where the Cave of 1000 Lights is? I've been around and haven't seen it yet.
  • Cave of 1000 Lights
    The Cave of 1,000,000,000 somethings is over there somewhere. You know. In that direction, near the thing. Ask Andrew. It's his secret to disclose.

    Head west from roughly the middle of secondus common, you'll find a wooden footbridge. That's the easiest way to get there - you can see it from not far away. It's a pretty high up floating platform.

    At the arrow there is a small crevasse. Enter it and follow the tunnel.

  • Perhaps Churba was giving directions to the Sky Pavilion and not the Cave of 1000 Lights?
  • By the way, I promoted Destrucci to be an admin, since he is on as much as I am and his stuff is pretty awesome.

    Given that very few caves can be found floating in the sky, one would assume so.

    @Andrew - Jesus christ, that's fuckin' beautiful.
