Yeah, you don't sound like the kind of guy who would make bets with negative expected utility ^_~
Just because I change what I'm saying based on expected outcomes doesn't mean I'm not prone to making really stupid decisions. Sometimes on purpose, for laughs.
Japanese Dub confirmed with four out of the Mane cast announced (No one of note, the most important show any of the four have done is Robotics;Notes) with Twilight and Flutershy still to be announced.
Still anxiously waiting, and praying, that Wakamoto does Discord.
After this episode, I now must believe that every one of the mane class is super rich, and that fluttershy must be a secret millionaire-how else would she be able to afford taking care of herself and all those animals every day (granted Ponies can probably just munch on grass so food is not a problem). Rarity has her fashion line, twilight probably gets a big allowance from the Princess, Applejack's family has a monopoly going on, and Pinkie Pie probably has large stash of gems somewhere from her rock farming days. Rainbow Dash.. ... I got nothing. But she has a cloud palace. And if she wins competitons frequently, (like the Young Fliers), it is not farfetched to believe that she gets quite a bit from doing so, just like athletes here.
That or most ponies can be swayed by whatever gem that is offered and that it's value is perhaps more fluid from person to person. However, we know that one small gem can buy a huge machincal device, be at least worth an entire cart of donuts (which I believe Spike overpiad for), and worth at least 4 cross country train tickets with return trips included (not counting pets). That makes Granny Smith the real winner of this episode.
Or..if we were to go all the way. The value of gems are color coded, and would solve some of the uncertainty I have. Hm.
Damn I told myself I would try to stay away from Pony and subtle spoilers of the final episodes as much as possible but...but for the life of me all them rumors and accidental readings are too much. Too much!
Meh, they've been setting it up since the beginning of this season, if not earlier... with the whole "she may be the one" talk when they shipped her off to the Crystal Empire.

Anything else is a bonus.
