I will bet all the money I have that the game is shit-tier.
And I just made a fortune betting you're being a Grouch about MLP anything.
Whilst I'd rather it use the LCG model, like all TCGs should be, to dismiss it because TCG or post Season 2 Pony is poor form.
If it turns out it's bad then fine, It's bad and it'll last a year before I can grab booster boxes for a fiver from my local game store (to use for print and plays like my Puzzle Strike Set). But let's see some gameplay before we start making diving into our trash cans, alright?
It got three plus seasons..... It can't be your firefly. It's your "name show" that started out pretty good and became shittty and got cancelled or stayed on for a bunch of years.

RTD Who went from a shitty season 3 to an amazing season 4. One Season (a half season at that) a shark jump does not make.

I think you could reasonably call making Twilight a princess a shark jump. But that's if Season 4 doesn't recover from the current slump Season 3 left us at. Equestria Girls was the shark jumping over the moon and that depends on how much they'll go back to that well. (shudder)
It's really just a matter of what direction the rest of the creative team will take. There's so many good ideas, but we've seen how Hasbro can fuck that up.

No, I wouldn't call Princess Twilight a shark jump I call that "potential for new stories".
Now Angels Take Manhattan (To continue the Who thing) that's a shark jump.
Equestria Girls is like those badly animated spinoff things (Dreamland, Infinite Quest or something), don't care doesn't move the world anywhere for me.
I want this to happen so bad. Pinkie Pie knows she's a cartoon but lives as a pony. Slappy knows she's a cartoon and lives as a cartoon. If Pinkie uses the 4th wall, Slappy built it, knows it brick by brick, and doesn't hesitate to even ignore its existence.

Also, My Little Pony is all blue now. Gotta fit the new demographic!
