The only gripe I have is that the dev clearly just chooses random letters for the board (maybe with a set min max on vowels). The correct way (to make this game more enjoyable) would be to select only those random ensembles that can form N possible words from the dictionary, where N is a large enough number.
The most unfun matches so far have all been due to crappy letter ensembles.
I have been wondering what sort of rules might behind the letter selection. I've played a ton of matches, and have yet to see a truly "clean" board, either in the sense that it had all 5 vowels, or didn't have good representation from the "wxyz" end of the alphabet among the 25 chosen letters.

Me and Scott had a board with all 5 vowels. I busted out Sequoia just to use one of each! But he NUKED ME INTO OBLIVION with massive words. Having all 5 vowels is sometimes a curse!

This would make a great dice game. Get a bunch of D6, once dice per letter. Sides: Dark red, light red, dark blue, light blue, neutral. (6th side can be... a logo?)
Grab 25 dice out of the bag, all to neutral state, 5x5 grid. There are your letters.
I don't need to say anymore, you know it goes.
Just need to know the correct amount of each letter to put in the dice bag.

@Timo, that was some bullshit using my word then adding "s". :P
Semen was supposed to seal your fate.
I'm in for a round robin tourney.

Besides, as Scott just aptly demonstrated, the true victory comes not just from winning but by winning with awesome words.

The defended tiles was the master stroke. Position matters. Made it a new game.
