Our word choices are pretty amusing.

@Timo, that was some bullshit using my word then adding "s". :P

NEVER FORGET to use an S if it is hanging around. The rules are specific on this. Also look for other suffixes like "ed" and "ing."
  • Never forget the value of affixes in word games.
  • Damn you Ro!
Semen was supposed to seal your fate.

I'm in for a round robin tourney.

That is one of the best things anyone has ever said to me.

    THIS GAME!!!

The only gripe I have is that the dev clearly just chooses random letters for the board (maybe with a set min max on vowels). The correct way (to make this game more enjoyable) would be to select only those random ensembles that can form N possible words from the dictionary, where N is a large enough number.

The most unfun matches so far have all been due to crappy letter ensembles.

Edit: shittings is SO a word!

  • Yeah, my current game with Scott has 3 Xs lined up to where claiming that area is beyond difficult:

Also @Invader Ren, we ended up game with some pretty color patterns:

  • I have been wondering what sort of rules might behind the letter selection. I've played a ton of matches, and have yet to see a truly "clean" board, either in the sense that it had all 5 vowels, or didn't have good representation from the "wxyz" end of the alphabet among the 25 chosen letters.

Me and Scott had a board with all 5 vowels. I busted out Sequoia just to use one of each! But he NUKED ME INTO OBLIVION with massive words. Having all 5 vowels is sometimes a curse!

Especially if you're playing in Welsh.

    Like a WINDRAMMER!
  • Like I said, it's easy to spell crazy shit when all 25 letters are on the table.

Or if you're a dick and use one of the many anagram generators out there...
  • I'm trying to make my words as Snaps to my opponent or just vulgar words.

    Semprini.

That really won't help you in this game since positioning is more important than just knowing a great word.
  • Ahh, but it can help you build better directional heuristics.

    That's why I won't play random people.

Besides, as Scott just aptly demonstrated, the true victory comes not just from winning but by winning with awesome words. :)

  • I will admit I used Google to get the correct spelling of "buoyed"
  • This would make a great dice game. Get a bunch of D6, once dice per letter.
Sides: Dark red, light red, dark blue, light blue, neutral. (6th side can be... a logo?)

Grab 25 dice out of the bag, all to neutral state, 5x5 grid. There are your letters.

I don't need to say anymore, you know it goes.

Just need to know the correct amount of each letter to put in the dice bag.

  • Yeah Matt, good start. Just need some red and blue markers.

The defended tiles was the master stroke. Position matters. Made it a new game.
  • Interview with the guy behind the game.
  • Scott you forfeiting bastard

Uh, what's wrong with quitting? If I've lost, I've lost.
