The 36th Chamber panel went better than any of us expected. The room was just about full, no one left, and I got a small round of applause at the end. Definitely have to do this again.
I've got the worst case of cauliflower ear and reality-impact going on right now...
Great convention everybody (I say having no basis for comparison). Thanks to everyone who came out to our booth to introduce themselves, and double thanks to those who bought a trinket! :-)
I saw a few minutes of cosplay deathmatch and laughed my ass off, but was otherwise too timid to venture from my booth much. My daughter had a blast and we made some pocket money over our expenses in the end.
One thing I learned from this con, Rym likes to default to the fist-bump for greetings. But seriously thanks for all you guys for playing games with me and a special shout out to Will and jtvh for going to my panel, this was probably the best Connecticon yet.

Thanks everybody for a great ConnectiCon! I miss you all already. Special thanks to Rym and Scott for running a great Panels dept!
My biggest regret: Not playing Hello Kitty Shopping Spree.
Some high points: Super Art Fight, Cards Against Humanity, and watching some guy fall over laughing during our Minoru Kawasaki panel this morning.
Also enjoyable though odd: The MLP RPG I played Friday night. Short version: World of Darkness Storyteller tries to guide 6 bronies through a dystopian Equestria, where the Mane Six are evil. Bronies refuse to believe Mane Six are lying to them, and defend the (lying, evil, Changeling) Mane Six to the death, inadvertently supporting the end of life as we know it. We were good with it, though, because friendship is freakin' magic.
Jordan and Viga, I took a ton of notes during your panels. I got a lotta stuff I need to watch now.
It's my fourth. My first was great (the first running had some issues, but they weren't my fault, windows just decided it hated me that day), my second was mixed, my third was a disaster slightly worse than this one but it was on Sunday morning so almost no one was there.
I took over a pony panel with Nilla and we may do another. Was suddenly popular on Saturday amongst bronies and pegasisters. Played Dragonstrike which was awesome! Cards against Humanity was awesome. Talking to Doug Walker and taking a pic with him!
Of course the best part was being with everyone! I miss everyone already!
Had a pretty good time at ConnectiCon, although all too brief. Got in early Saturday and had to leave that night when the con closed. My "board games for video gamers" panel was lightly attended (10 people to start, 20 by time it ended) but all I cared about was whether I was gonna fuck it up as a first time panelist. I did not, and the audience seemed to enjoy the lecture.
Got to play the Marvel Heroic RPG w/ the NerdNYC GMs. That was better than I expected. They have really perfected the "run around and punch things" style RPG by putting you in the driver's seat of comic book creation.
Demoed Zpocalypse and was not impressed, for several reasons. Looks like another Kickstarter dud. Also had some time to break out Penny Arcade's Paint the Line card game and the warts are really starting to show on that one. Going in the trade pile. Had a great time playing Catan on the huge board, though. I don't know what it is about a giant board but it was just fun to try once.
B/c the Super Art Fight line situation was not looking so hot, my friend and I bailed and played some other gamers for an hour. Went back up about halfway through the match, though, and also go to see the abbreviated main bout. It delivered. PAX really does need this event.
I'm kicking myself for not making more dragon eye pendants for my booth in the AC. The 5 we brought sold out in the first two hours on Friday, and we were there way too late everyday to paint more when we went home at night.
Actually we learned a lot for next year. I think I can probably double this year's sales with a few changes.
I had a few clockwork style pendants with me but the price was a deterrent for most. :-)
I did sell out of all of my flawed ones that were priced at $20 because of mistakes in them. People generally said they didn't see what mistakes I was talking about...

What was your process with those? There might be a way to pull down your production cost. Or, failing that, just pulling down your profit margin, and making up the difference on volume.

Wow, how and from what are you making those things that the bad ones cost a freaking $20?

...says the man who has never made real jewelry, obviously.

THE best cosplay at the whole con, right here:
I didn't get a chance to meet Greg (unless I just didn't hear his name over the din) but I *think* I spotted him from afar once or twice. :-)

Rym: Yeah, I don't think anyone's going to submit a four hour panel....
Will: WANNA BET?
Rym: Ok, correction. I don't think I'm going to approve a four hour panel...
I know of so few people who could keep people entertained for 4 hours, not get fatigued, and maintain interest.
I fucked my first solo panel too.
