  • ...well that whole thing that made me miss Connecticon got canceled today. Me and family are at odds at the moment, too late for me to get up there now but you all have a great time.
  • Typo. Scott and I both reported that within 15 seconds of seeing the interface. ;^)
There's also an error in Main Events. They are listed when you click on Marriott Ballroom ABCDE, but they are happening in Main Events CCTC Ballroom ABC.
  • Staff are on The List to get badges already from Con Ops. (Scott and I won't be there until 9:00pm or so on Thursday, so either find Con Ops or try to find Kristen. ;^)

I'm assuming staff can join in on that.
I plan on being there from about 4pm on floating around and helping where I'm needed, Come find me even if you get your badge from Con Ops!
I'd like to go to Nerd Prom, but I don't think we're gonna get in until at least 10 pm.
Prom goes until Midnight, so you can! http://connecticon.org/registration/
  • Worst-case, you can crash with us on the floor at the Residence Thursday. We're getting in around 8:30pm Thursday on Megabus.
I would like to take you up on this.
I'm assuming that anyone who can pick up a badge Thursday (either from Con Ops or Pre-reg) can go to the Nerd Prom. But I fear the Nerd Prom. Anybody wanna play board games instead?
    Yes please.
    seconded.
  • My friends are going to the Nerd Prom. Lacking appropriate formalwear, I'll be wherever the cool kids are, playing games.
  • I might go to nerd prom. Depends on whether or not my friends are going. It is hard to compete with FRCF board gaming.
  • I don't own a suit and anyway I'm probably too old for nerd prom... :)
  • Say, anybody else want to be added to the GroupMe/pod? It'll come in handy for coordinating board gaming and such. You can use the GroupMe app or SMS.
  • I just built, filled, and poured the last batch of resin pendants I'll realistically be able to have done in time for con. It still feels like I don't have nearly enough of... anything. All of my stuff fits into about 4 cubic feet...
  • I'll be in main theater if people want to say hi or play games
  • Looks like I will be attending along with my girlfriend and daughter. We will just be doing Saturday.

How do I get in on the group me action?

Post your e-mail here, someone will add you.

EDIT: Also, Rym, if you have any on-site cancels, I'm bringing the files to run American Tezukas one more time.

I used my forum name at Gmail dot com to register with group me. I don't post that one around to keep the spam count down.

  • Noted. ;^)

We'll have a "schedule" of open spots in rooms of which we are aware. There are pretty few at the moment, but I know at least a handful will appear.
  • Can I get a Group Me invite? Wyatt.w.wells@gmail.com
  • Ditto. Invite me!
  • Thought I was groupme'd, but I checked and I'm not!

I'll communicate via analog channels this con. That way my phone won't be dead.

For anybody not on the GroupMe:

If anyone would benefit from shuttle service to/from the convention center from within or nearby Hartford, Sarah and I can fit 3-4 more people in our van. We'll be keeping AC hours so we'll be there early and leaving late all 3 days.

Sorry for the late offer, didn't occur to me that some people are staying a bit further away.

Here's my facebook page in case it helps show I'm not a creepy stalker or whatever: http://www.facebook.com/MarkBWarner

I promise that the phrase "Free Candy" is not to be seen anywhere on the van. :)

  • Scott, Emily, and I are all set due to having been moved at the last second from the Residence Inn to the con hotel itself.
  • Bleh, the con hotel is too tall. The elevator sucks dick when you need to check out on Sunday.

Also (though to a lesser degree) if you want to use it at any point in the evenings. I have grown quite accustomed to the stairwell.

I just sent you a friend request.

Your FB cover/avatar looks like you found Nemo. Or is that just me?
  • Hehe.

That's the 55 gallon tank in our living room. I'm pretty proud of that thing. It doesn't use any chemicals or additives and the filtration is entirely mechanical or organic.
  • Confirmed your friend request. That's the best sarcastic Wonka I've seen yet.

Greg and I could do Schlock 101 again if you need fill-ins. It was a lot of fun last year. I'll watch for the schedule of open spots.
  • I have most of my booth stuff strapped to a dolly and ready to go. Everything else is loaded in the van. I'm doing that nervous foot tapping thing. Hurry up 8:00. Sheez.

Deep cleansing breaths, dude. It's gonna be fine. AC is pretty mellow. :)

That's good because I don't have one matching fixture for my booth. It's gonna look like a thrift shop. :-)
