while this could just be emulated, this is perfect for someone with a small kid. Who wants to give them a pretty authentic experience. Also that list of games is pretty darn good.
I will wait for the review of the machine itself, I wonder how the emulation looks on this "official" product. Have any of you gotten the HD NES Kit that was developed recently?
It would also be kind of awesome if they would incorporate a way to load previously bought virtual NES games into the machine. Plugging this mini-NES would be easier than connecting and dealing with a WII and its wiimote.

Considering Nintendo makes you already re-buy owned VC games on the 3DS as well as the WiiU I doubt they'd do that
Didn't they already try that with Sonic 4? And partially with Sonic Generations. Sure that has less chances of being absolutely totally broken like the 3D Sonics tend to be, but even in best case scenario, it's a Sonic game.
Even if the game ends up being terrible, I enjoyed watching that trailer. We have the luxury of waiting g to see if it's legit before we buy it. No expectations. No optimism.
On paper, it's the best of these re-try attempts. 1. Actually just a beautiful 2D game. 2. Includes old levels that we already know we like. 3. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles playable are the three characters we all actually want. No one else is necessary.
So, yes, as a trailer, this is pretty hype. However, Sega has failed before. Although I enjoyed Sonic Generations, it didn't save Sonic. This probably won't either. Should at least be fun, though.

Although, I fully admit they're only my favorites because when I played the games as a youngster I thought their designs were cool.
Still the best version of Doom.
