Once the new PC is built I am getting in on this early since the designer of the game made the good parts of Civ V.

Star Control reminds me of the space travel sections in the Mass Effect series, with a little bit more exploration. Seems promising enough.

Anyone who hasn't played Star Control 2 should get on that. 1 you can ignore, it's just ship combat. 3 is less good than 2, but go for it. I like 3 more than most other people do.
