After many years of writing, a short story has finally been published in issue 6 of Steampunk Tales, an app for the iPhone. I was even able to sneak in mentionable billing on the cover of their issue! This is a first for me and hopefully not the last.
Video reminds me a bit of the Russian anti-gravity helicopter project
Oh my god, I made the mistake of looking at the comments, and it's a bunch of jackasses going "HURR DURR THIS IS HOW THEIR ANTIGRAV WORKS I ARE DO SCIENCE TO IT" - Yeah, like they're going to test their anti gravity system by shoving it into an otherwise unmodified fuckin' Hind, you idiots.

Those comments are hilarious indeed... Oh mah gawd, you do realize that you have finally found an instance where Youtube comments are valuable!?
I only got as far as "the true meaning of eater will be explained in an entertaining and fun filled way." WHAAAAAAA? I'm not the most religious person ever, but I know what easter is and anyone who finds that story "entertaining and fun filled" is one sick fuck.

If Mother Russia put antigrav into anything, it'd be one of these:
Those missile tubes on top each carry a supersonic ramjet cruise missile that is impossible to intercept and capable of sinking an aircraft carrier in a single hit. Goddamn, I love Russian military tech.
Very cute. On a semi-related note, leaving the pick in the hair always confounds me. It would be like I left my round brush in my hair or did my makeup and left my eyelash curler on my lash. Don't people have pockets and purses for keeping things in or do people store all kinds of crap in their 'fros?

Why do people wear earrings?
On a related note, my sister has been known to store both pencils and wooden forks and spoons in her bun.

Because they are decorative. If picks are decorative, then they just don't mesh with my preferred aesthetic. I thought they were just functional. Why not put an awesome bauble in there instead of a styling tool?

The missile (Russian P-270 Moskit), flies at a maximum of Mach 3. At that speed, the theoretical response time is 30 seconds at most, which is long enough that jamming and countermeasures probably couldn't be deployed fast enough, and anti-missile artillery and things like the Goalkeeper and the Phalanx couldn't get a bead in time.
