    Hey!
Seriously? Off the show Rym has such charisma and charm that the ladies flock to him. You think I am kidding. I am not. At college he was surrounded by cosplay girls and cute geeks. He had a rep as somewhat of a ladies man, and he still flirts like crazy. I keep telling Scott if he wants to get girls he needs to have Rym give him flirting lessons. All it takes is a little social grace. In the past, there have been girls who thought Scott was cute, but then he is cranky to them so they get discouraged.
Bah! Scott's a keeper. Rym doesn't realize how good he's got it. You wait until one day Rym gets played and has his heart broken by some buff young guy who knows just what to say. Outfoxing the fox, so to speak. :) Then he'll realize that Scott, while blunt, will never tell you he loves you and then head out to Fire Island on the sly. He may be stubborn and uncompromising, but the flip side is that he's dedicated and stable. The paths to lose the fondness of Scott Rubin are many and clearly marked, yet this only means that the path to gain and maintain it is just as clear and consistent. When Rym grows old and tired and doesn't have the energy to take his lover out to the bathhouses like he did when he was younger, the more whimsical and flighty types might grow bored with him and abandon him. Keep Scott supplied with video games and non-crazy grilled cheese sandwiches, and he's yours forever. :)

Girls flocked to him? That is going a more than a bit far. He had a rep as a ladies man because he was at RIT and actually dated a few girls. I am not saying he can't get women, he obviously can. I am just trying to keep it in perspective.

When I read this, I immediately imagined scene similar to Hana Kimi where Nakatsu sees Mizuki in his "Nakatsu vision" with flowers and pretty things all around Mizuki, instead with Emily seeing Rym in "Emily vision". Then you see Rym in "Kate/Mrs. MacRoss vision" as just a normal person. :P ^_~

Oh, forgive a wee bit of hyperbole. At college, he just had his fair share of fan-girls, that's all. Now, we are comparing this to Scott. On one hand, Rym, a flirt who can get the geek girls. Scott. Rym. Scott. You see?

edit: I'm not sure my vision is a rose colored as Nakatsu's. This is how he often represents himself.

If you cut off his hair will it go away like Samson strength?

  • Rule ש Scott Rubin does not have a girlfriend because he hasn't yet met a girl who is sufficiently rubenesque for him.
Should read: Rule ש Scott Rubin does not have a girlfriend because he hasn't yet met a girl who is sufficiently Decosteresque for him.

Oh, trust me, Rym's a great guy. I just never witnessed all this fan-girliness that is discussed. I didn't attend RIT, though, I went to SUNY Brockport and only spent several days a week at RIT, so I could have missed the hordes of ladies. ^_~

He wouldn't even date a girl like Rym. Seriously, I do not think any human being that wasn't a pretty female version of Scott Rubin with perfect legs would do for Scott.

Hehee... I just noticed that I wrote "a girl like Rym."
  • ScRym have been very quiet on this thread.

They stay out of threads like this. They're rarely in the Scrym Gay thread either. They know it happens but as long as they don't know the specifics, I suppose it doesn't bother them.

I thought Scott was bothered by it, whilst Rym found the whole thing hilarious, unless I'm wrong?
  • No. We watch it. We laugh at it. We read it out loud in a group, causing much hilarity.
  • Scott is bothered by it. He doesn't find it as funny.
  • That's because he's not aware of the secret Scott Rubin Aprecheation Fan Club. :)

Shh, fellow Apreche-teer! You must not reveal our secret club! Well, I guess it's too late. Might as well share our secret song too!

  • You know, there are parallels. Haruhi is also meh about everything. Scott just isn't crazy and doesn't believe in aliens...anymore.
  • Scott is bothered by the thread? Why and how so?

I don't think Haruhi does, either, but that's for another time and thread.

So would the Scott version of the Haruhi dance be Scott glaring at Rym as Rym prances around, possibly in some form of tiara? :)

Haruhi is the center of the universe.
Scott acts as if he is.

  • Okay I think I got it... you pronounce "Apreche" like the Apache pun, but instead of "a patchy" server it is "a preachy" host. Ta Da!

Now that's just creepy and wrong, but somewhat hilarious.

BTW you can edit you image size by adding "width=xxx" or "height=xxx" in your img tag.

I hate you. Let it be known that I now hate you so badly.

That is indeed the worst solution to your problem.
  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! You defiled my goddess! In the name of Haruhi I slay you!
