For some context, I've been re-watching the entire show in Premiere to pull out subclips for some Radio Free Equestria episode that are in the pipeline. Sudden inspiration and five minutes of editing later...
Beowulf the Roadshow, part II. My performance starts at 34:30-ish and goes until 41:00-ish. It doesn't translate very well into video - probably because of the fixed angle - but there ya go.
I'm not sure this qualifies for this thread since there's not much production done on it, but here's my favorite fish having some lunch. Heisenberg is the pride of my tank.
Made a new review/analysis video, this time about Chronicle. This one is tightened up and more consistent compared to the pilot episode, and slightly better written and performed.
Goal is to get Part 2 out within the week and improve my overall production speed. Wish me luck!
Scott and I talk a lot during pre-roll when we record things (like Radio Free Equestria or our recent anti-shittalk project: POTI). I have a powerful computer and a good workflow now, so no reason not to pull little bits out. Youtubes travel easier than podcasts.
Okay, so about that. The video that earned me most of my fans is one of me singing a gender-swapped re-write of a song from My Little Pony. It's a song featuring a villain in the show named Queen Chrysalis. My gender swapped version is named King Metamorphosis and that's what he looks like. It would have just ended at that except that he became such a smash hit with fans that I went on and made a Tumblr ask blog for him where I would voice responses to people's questions. It, too became really popular and it was fun because I really took time to write out long, detailed, answers, put in appropriate background music, etc.. He's even got a mention on TV Tropes. (Link to Sample King Metamorphosis post.)
But the truth is, while it WAS fun, it stopped being so because I grew to resent him. That song really increased my viewers, but I was being typecast as a villain in a lot of brony projects. The quality of the questions he was asked also went down: from stuff like "What kind of art is produced in your kingdom" to "can U tell me IM hott? ;-)". Moreover, while anything pony related very quickly got thousands of views, stuff that mattered to me (like FNPL videos and "Victor Show's") crawled to get to those same numbers, if they ever did.
So, when I say "I'm not sure I wan't him around", I'm specifically talking about King Metamorphosis.
I just noticed that you changed your name and thought, "Who the heck is Zio?" Why did you change your name? Also great video. That was very cool and heartwarming.

Well, Trick Ro Treat, I thought I'd join in the Halloweening. I didn't have many options with "Sonic" and "Zio" from Phantasy Star 4 is the character in my avatar.
"I was being typecast as a villain in a lot of brony projects." is a great sentence that says a lot about the modern Internet.

The Show Business one was pretty good too.
I'm diggin' most of these actually.
I'm on a roll suddenly. ;^)

So, I made a fan trailer about one of my favorite webshows. I am weird and a nerd.

This video is a BIG nod to some of you here on the forum. You know exactly who you are.
Is the side of yourself you don't like personified by that particular pony, or is the side of yourself you don't like the side that likes ponies?

Thanks for sharing the story, Victor. I totally understand resenting fame (or at least over proportioned audience) for things you don't care about.
