I had a weekend absolutely full of win. I had an awesome friend from the summers up to Boston for three days and we just did awesome stuff every night. The first night we chilled with a few of my friends, the next night ProfPangloss and AdmiralHotcakes slept over, played spot it, watched Black Dynamite, and hung out with us and my friends, another night we played arkam horror wandered around Boston.
And now I have a one day week because of Thanksgiving.
I had to go get everything ready for an expo for my uncle, and hadn't even gotten the permits. but I managed to get them, get the credentials, have my stand ready and have the merchandise in the storage compartment, with time to spare... And it was my first time doing so.
Had to spend 100,000 pesos today (from my own money), but BOOYAH! Made it with the help of the convention center people.
Woke up this morning to see my Littermaid auto-scoup box was not working.
After a bunch of wasted time Googling (no, I don't want to pay for an answer or buy your $12 ebook) I took the thing apart and screwed around with it.
Turned out the switch by the litter collector was busted which caused the motor arm to only work in reverse (the logic circuit interpreted the busted switch to mean the motor arm was fully extended.)
A quick trip to Radio Shack and $3 later my auto-box is now fixed.
Go into the office I intern at, expecting another dull day of grunt work in tech support, only to discover that I got the promotion I had been itching for. In theory, I should never have to replace a broken mouse again in my life!
Over at Port Authority, I offered to help a girl who was feebly attempting to Myspace a shot of her in front of the New York Times Building. Probably could have gotten her number (she kept saying how wonderful I was), but I was distracted by hunger. Ah well, might make an awesome missed connection or something...
Decided to get felaffel instead of pizza, and decided to put that shit in a wrap! Ended up with a sandwich that was so awesome, people behind me in line started asking for it. And yes, it lived up to expectations.
And then on the way home I stopped in to get some victory beer (actually, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, to be exact), and the deli cat, clearly detecting the awesomeness radiating from me, decided to be social for the first time ever! The owner was actually amazed, saying it normally hates people.
I love when my parents buy new furniture because that means I get dibs on whatever they are replacing. Got a barely used mattress and box spring, so now Jeremy and I have a comfier bed to sleep in.
Being a Game Design and Development major is definitely the most enjoyable choice I've made in a long while. This is the course website. Notice the "Gameplay" header. Yeah.

Well done Fred!
There is no more space between my mouth and my butt. It is all filled.
This is the best holiday.

It's good to be a geek!
I love going to Columbia.
