  • Congrats!
  • I finished mine this morning as well, but I still have papers to finish by Friday before I can be sure I'm graduating. :P
  • I'm still not sure if I'm graduating. I wont know that until June. But I am walking!

    Yeah, it's the stupidest thing.
  • In the last month I bought a new car, bought a new lawnmower and got a new work laptop. New hardware everywhere.
  • Yesterday I was chosen as next year's president of the RIT Judo club.
  • Last day at work before a long weekend at Disneyland. Woooo!
  • You're coming to my hood! When will you be here? Have you bought your Disneyland tickets already? Where are you staying? My sister is a FDM at the Disneyland Hotel and may be able to help you out.

    Thursday-Sunday. Yes. California Lodge.
  • Damn you and your planning ahead! I'll ask but given what you've said, I'm not sure there is much she'll be able to do.

If nothing else, should you want to board game during your stay, I'm not far away.
  • Well done! What did you study?
  • CONGRATS!
  • Will you skip on Tuesday?

Hi guys, we decided to split from Mordor.
  • I started a yoga program about 7 weeks ago, which has been amazing and so much fun. I'm already in the best shape I've ever been in my life.

Today I discovered that I'm sooooo close to being able to do a handstand for the first time in my life. I think I should be able to pull it off by next week or so.
  • Like a few of the other forumites, I am graduate.
  • Talked a friend who needs NA into going to it. Today is a good day.
  • English classes at my high school are reading Little Brother by Cory Doctorow.

3 days of the most pomp and circumstance!! Such tradition! Much graduation! 350 years worth of ritual.

The main ceremony is viewable here. To get the full experience stand up, wait for an hour, start the video, after the video ends walk around for 45 minutes. If you just want a quickie, skip to 179:19 where I enter frame, at 180:25 sword and doctoral hat get!

    Thanks :-).

I think the music was selected more for being as easy to play as possible than for anything else.

Congrats! I had to play high school graduations when I was in the band back then, and was always thankful that our band director established a tradition of switching to the Star Wars: A New Hope ending ceremony music after we played one pace of the usual Pomp and Circumstance.

  • Congratulations on becoming a doctor!
My graduation played Pomp and Circumstance for the entire 30-45 minutes it took the graduates to file into their seating. It was interminable.
  • Boo-yah of this weekend was my daughter continuing her streak of being wayyyyy more well-behaved than I could ever ask of a toddler at events I drag her to. A friend pledged a large sum of money to Paul & Storm's latest album Kickstarter project, and received a private house concert in return. Didn't cause an ounce of trouble, got to take an adorable photo with Paul & Storm, and generally just danced around and clapped for the entirety of the concert.
  • Grilled cheese with home made bread.
  • Yeah, that's a pretty good booh yah.
  • Most of my booh-yahs have to do with food. Food and fixing doors.
  • This week I'm getting paid to ride around campus and steal bikes with a pair of bolt cutters and an angle grinder.
  • Campus maintenance job, huh? 'S good work.
