Because of the fact that you can gamble in New York if you're 18 or older, my family and I took advantage of this and we went to a casino and I gambled for the first time. I didn't want to be a big spender so I played it safe and began with five dollars, and to my surprise I raked in 20 dollars which is really good considering how much I started with.
One of my fingers is bleeding, I bought a bass (so not only do I have to upgrade my left hand calluses, I have to develop one on my right hand thumb for some slap bass action.)

You're also going to get one on your popping finger if you're slapping. A huge one, and one like no other blister you've ever had before. But it's so worth it.
So, I drove home from NYC tonight. I passed at least 15 car accidents on my way home. When I got home, I managed (in one trip) to carry two suits, two bags of clothes and books, a pie, a ton of chicken, a laptop, and a delivered package from the mail up three floors without dropping them, unlocking two doors on my way.
Today I left the Prinsendam in Aruba. Normally at the end of a contract I go direct to the airport and fly home. But tomorrow I'm joining another ship here in Aruba, so have to stay overnight.
Normally when I stay overnight for work I stay in a pretty average hotel. Not to shabby, but nothing amazing. But this hotel is a cut above the usual. When I checked in I was told "Here's your keycard. You'll nee that if you want to take the shuttle-boat to the private island."
A hotel with a private island? This is a new experience for me. Instead of joining some other guest entertainers in the hotel bar I decided to take that trip to the private island. The speed boat comes right into the hotel lobby via an underground water inlet from the habour.
The island wasn't particularly exciting, but I guess that's the point. I could relax and swim and just hang out without having to worry about anyone swiping my camera or phone. I took photos of flamingos to go with my earlier photos of lizards and dogs. I also spent a while setting up my zoom lens to get a perfect shot of my juggling while sitting on a hammock in front of the sunset.
And, by the time I got back to the hotel lobby, the other guest entertainers were still sitting at the bar, so I joined them for a chat and drink. I did other things today, but I don't need to write about them now.
I was horribly sick yesterday, so I didn't think about posting it, but I also won NaNoWriMo 2009, my first year! Now I just need to finish the novel so I can post it.
Man, all the photodocumenting Luke does makes me really want to get in on that. I've been meaning to do it forever, but I can't find a digital SLR that meets my specs and is in my price range, especially because I'd also like to use it for some stop-motion, HDR, and macro stuff.

You're going to post the entire novel? Do you mean a novella, novelette, or just a plain novel?

You upload your completed work to NaNoWriMo as a Word or PDF doc upon victory.
You do upload your work to NaNoWriMo to get a word count validation, but they don't actually keep the works they get.
It's hard to say what kind of novel it is. Since it's not done yet, I imagine it being closer to 60,000 words than the required 50,000, but a novel can range anywhere from 30,000 to 120,000. As a first draft, I intend to flesh it out more in the future so in my mind it is a full novel. As for where it will be posting, I'm putting it up on my personal website.

What is your price range? I guess in total I've spent about 2,000 euro on my camera+kit lens, bag, gorillapod, tripod, wide angle lens, zoom lens, 50 1.4 lens, remote switch and 4gb memory card. Also, because the Canon 500D can also do HD video, I'm not even carrying my camcorder with me these days when I go out. It's in my suitcase, but I've not used it in months.
Hmmm...
As I was typing the above, I wondered what size SD Card I had in my camcorder, and it turns out it's an 8gb card. Seeing as I never use my camcorder anymore, I swapped the cards, doubling the capacity of my DSLR. That can be one of my Booh Yah's of today!
I predict this will turn into a fail of my day next week as I fill up my laptop hard drive on a daily basis, and am constantly having to archive and delete shit.

Can't you just get a cheap external 2.5 inch drive?

1. God is all-knowing and all-loving.
2. God is aware that 4Chan exists.
3. If God were truly all-loving, then He would not allow 4Chan to exist. Given this, 4Chan still exists.
4. Thus, God must either lack the power to be rid of 4Chan, or God must not exist.
5. By definition, God has the power to smote any transgressors of His law, 4Chan being no exception. Thus, God must not exist.
Q.E.D.
4Chan: Where's your God now?
4chan is God.
I feel accomplished.
A winner is me.
