  • I don't have the equipment to play Gold. Hell, I barely have the skills to play Silver.
  • You can play in gold with a fair degree of success if you've got a lot of pluck. It also helps if you play something like an Asari Adept, where powers are way more important than gear.

Churba, I meant unlocking characters out of packs. It used to be that you could still get "Asari Adepts" or whatever, even after you'd gotten them the 5 or 6 times it takes to max out their color schemes, so you'd get a lot of dead weight even in PSPs. Now I think they're replaced by rank IV temporary buffs? So now you can covert that dead weight character card into dead weight Sniper Rail Amp IV!

    (snipers suck)
  • Yeah, you get Gear IV.

Also, while Gold is difficult but fun, I refuse Platinum. That difficulty mode is literally idiotic.

Oh, of course. Sorry about that. Yeah, you can still get any of them until you max out any particular appearance stuff, then it pulls them from the pool and replaces it with something else.

Yeah, not the most useful class. They're really only useful against Cerberus, because they can pop guardians easier than anyone else.

Still better than BF3's "run away from the battle, stay in one place in bumblefuck nowhere forever, take potshots till match ends" kinda snipers.
If people want to set that up, I'm down. I usually play Gold, but I'm up for whatever.
Hey, I'm easy. I'm all about just playing it, I don't mind about the difficulty or any of that nonsense.

  • Well, looks like they are ruining PS2 right before launch. Gonna try playing a bit more tonight, but man... from all the grumbling it sounds like it's basically going to be PS1 again. Infantry gets shafted unless you're a MAX, and then you only get a light shafting.
  • Paper Mario Sticker Star is a game where you can fight a Shy Guy mariachi band.

Have faith. PS1 wasn't perfect at release, but it ended up being an amazing game for years until Core Combat screwed everything up, and late patches years into the game crippled one of the factions (due to incessant bitching on the forums. NEVER LISTEN TO BITCHING ON YOUR FORUMS, SONY).

You can also kill enemies with sombreros.

    And there's a Yoshi sphinx.

  • Despite having watched no football this year, despite colleagues who actually care about and pay attention to both the real and the fantasy sport, and despite zero research, I am winning the fantasy football league at work. ;^)

I credit this solely to understanding how bidding works, and bidding appropriately in the draft based solely on the projected values of the players.
  • I wish I could go back and replay To The Moon.

"The agony of the meaning of the rabbit."

Play it. Preferably all in one go, it should take 3.5-4.5 hours. There should be nothing that keeps you from playing this game, I will gift you a goddamn copy of it if need be.
  • I'll even stream it for other people if you gift it HOWS THAT FOR INCENTIVE
  • Sure, once it goes on 75% sale next I'll gift you a copy.
  • lol I was seeing if I could milk it out of you before that happens. I was planning on getting it when it was at about that price.

  • Thanks Obama.

You could have bought it for a dollar in the previous humble indie game sale...
Edit: ops, never mind, it was on the Royale bundle, but still 5 bucks for that and other fun games.

I dislike indie royale, which is why I didn't get it from there.

  • I did buy it there, and gifted it away.

    Why?

Isn't it obvious ? All socialists hate the monarchy !!!

my dislike is purely superficial and isn't an issue if I wasn't decidedly stubborn.

  • Gimbal is super fun, quick, and addictive. Customize ships and dogfight.
  • Just finished Halo 4. Time for more Infinity!
  • Gimbal reminds me of ARC without the CTF
  • Gimbal is a good game, kind of. I played it for a few hours and was pretty much done with it. The developer seems to be pretty good on releasing updates though. The designing aspect is also a lot of fun. I made some incredibly terrible designs.
  • In my quest to play all of my unplayed Steam games in alphabetical order, I played a good hour+ worth of Cogs recently. Think this one came in an indie bundle. It's a fun little puzzle game, but one I'd say should be skipped. It combines elements of slide puzzles, 3D puzzles, linking pipes, and passing energy through gears of various sizes (and the direction they turn in the end often matters). Fun but not even close to a must-play.
  • ARC was so much goddamn fun.
