Wow, sorry. I watched it and it was SO bad, that it kind of broke through and was almost good. Everything about the film is bad. Notice in the pictures above, there are no camera angles that aren't at a slight tilt and every shot is flooded with strange green and blue light.
I just watched the film HANA-BI in my film history class, and enjoyed it though it was a big slow. Its kind of like Old Boy but a lot slower and less intense, and with the Magnum PI theme song. Also, during the whole thing I kept thinking, "HE GON BRO UP!"
There was a lot of talk about Robocop recently due to the Detroit statue. I hadn't seen it since the '90s. There's also a twitter account that will tweet "I'll buy that for a dollar!" if you mention Robocop. It tweeted @geeknights twice. Robocop is on Netflix streaming. I watched it again.
It's actually really really good. I sort of figured it would be generic '80s action movie, but it is actually still awesome. The only thing that fell short was the stop-motion of the evil robot, which was not even up to Clash of the Titans level. I put it exactly one step below Terminator 2.

I'm a Takeshi fan. If you haven't seen it, 'Sonatine' is my favorite film he did.
You guys liked 'Summer Wars'? Maybe I have mental defects, but I found it slow, predictable and BORING. Maybe I'll try it again. 'Perfect Blue' and 'Akira' are my favorites, but I'm not a big fan of the anime stuff.

You just described the attitude I had towards the first Terminator movie. Think about it, this applies to both films equally.
Source Code is reeeeeally good, guys. If you liked Moon, don't pass this one up. I was iffy on seeing it based on the trailers but I did anyway and I don't regret it at all.

I am going to watch it tomorrow. I expecting awesomeness for about 1.5 hours. Also, I re-watched How to Train Your Dragon. It is as fantastic as I remembered to be.
Sukiyaki Western Django is a spagetti western in an Asian old west where everybody speaks Engrish.
I'll have to check that out.
Exit Through the Gift Shop was hilarious, sometimes infuriating (my uncle is an industrial artist, and I've helped him build installation pieces; MBW is like his antithesis), and oddly inspiring. I have never been more interested in markers and stickers than I am in the aftermath of that movie.
Im watching a movie called Triple Dog right now. It is about a high school girl slumber party and they play a game of Truth or Dare with out the Truth part. The dialoge is TERRIBLE!!! They say "totes, fo shiz and most favoritest". The only reason I am watching it is because the girls are cute and there is a nude scene.
Dude it is a movie. That means the actors playing high schoolers are in their 20s. And if there is a nude scene then the actor/actress must be at least 18 years old.
I still want to pop my ear drums with a metal hanger everytime one of these girls says something stupid. Which is like every other line. The seriously say the word "totes" like 50 times.
Holy shit, this is frightening. There's a segment where a child articulately states why he finds is so difficult to believe in a god, and then you can watch as he is slowly indoctrinated and brainwashed into weeping during sermons and the like.
I couldn't watch that movie, as it hit way too close to home. The camp was pretty tame compared to the camps I went to as a child, though I didn't see the end of the movie so I don't know the full extent.

That film did a really good job of establishing a narrative in the documentary format. The point it was trying to make developed in your own mind organically, so I found it hard pinpoint the exact time it had been made overtly in the actual film. It was perfect, because everyone who is an artist knows someone like MBW, and everyone who isn't one and has been around someone with talent has felt like him at some point, and then thought better of it.

It's a great film to see how much can go wrong.

Capoeira has to be my favorite impractical movie martial art.
you get stuff like this:
even though in reality it would go down like this:
