I second the agreement of "PAX is Mecca" being a great metaphor, and would also gladly buy a lifetime pass if the opportunity presented itself.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from PAX, including some more shots of the Delorean.
Assassin's Creed protestor. He actually handed us Assassin's Creed cookies, which later came in handy when one of the console freeplay enforcers was standing around with a sign asking for free cookies. Share the love!
EDIT: Holy mother of god those images uploaded at full size. Will resize and post later
The biggest problem with scalpers is the numbers they have gotten to, if it was 10 badges or reselling badges of people leaving, no big deal, but 500?
How about limiting the number of badges per person? 10 maybe? I know that wouldn't solve the scalping problem, but it would at least require a greater proportion of badge purchasers to be scalpers.
Also, I think they do limit the badges per person. The problem is that these guys will switch PO boxes, credit cards, and such and such to get more.
I think one part of the solution is to have the price of the badge change over time, one thing anime cons get right. People should be rewarded with lower prices for pre-ordering early. This should encourage all purchasers, legitimate or scalper, to buy early. As a result, the con will sell out sooner. If the con can sell out of badges in a month or so, that doesn't give a scalper much time to change PO boxes or anything like that. So at most a scalper will get the maximum # of badges for a single order, and then the badges will sell out before they can order again.

It's a dickwolf! Actually have the entire video of Mike drawing this. Crowd went nuts. Will upload if people want.
Delorean in background while awesome chalk artist draws Metroid:
Wife at the Delorean:
Delorean from behind:
Awesome Killzone cosplayers:
Me losing at Pong:
For some reason there was no line for this game in the expo hall. She won on her first try!
Awesome sketch from the Disney booth:
Ad on the side of a building between Benaroya and WSCC. Seriously? The beer of marathon runners? Why not just show him running a race with a beer-helmet on, sipping down 2 cans at a time.
Gum wall early Sunday morning. This was both amazing and gross:
I wonder if they plan to continue to use the Benroya Hall again. If so, it would be awesome to have a live streaming queue from there for those who do miss out in Main Events.
Also, I think PAX will get the full annex next year. If so, ALL of Table Top should go there. That will leave more room for console gaming and perhaps more panel room space.
I forgot to tell you guys, those 2 guys you brought to gaming: The bald dude & Blizzard guy donated a crap ton of games to Tabletop. It was so awesome of them. They were really cool.

Yeah, one of the guys started emailing us. I get the feeling they have secret awesome they are going to unleash.
Also, I saw people in the crowd with cameras. Where are those people?
Out of curiosity, do you guys even have someone in the crowd recording your panels for your own reference purposes? I would think that the "game tape" would be invaluable for reviewing and refining the panel for the next presentation.

We want someone to do it, but it's very difficult to actually make it happen.

It wouldn't be much effort at all, IMO. Just have to lug the equipment. If the FREE services Sonic and I are offering aren't good enough? Scrym have no right to argue about the price to quality coefficient. =D
Well I said it's too much effort for me now. It's cool if people offer to do it for free. I just think it would be cooler if PAX had people doing it. They had people recording various parts of PAX for the DVD, they should be able to have people in the panel rooms recording the panels as well.
A few years ago, I made them buttons and handed it out to people waiting in line for their panels as well as their large cards promoting the website/podcast.
I enjoy spreading the Geek Nights gospel, but thinking about doing all that to record a panel tires me.
As Scott said, just go to PAX and you'll be set. ^__~
Experiential right of recall? It's fine to say "Go X if you want to see Y." but what if my memory isn't that great (which is isn't) and I'd like to have a copy for myself? :-p

I understand. From the panels I've seen, there are times I wish I could watch it again. I really wish I recorded our gaming session of Bohnanza. The Ultra Rare Cocoa Bean was a tough sale. There was also a lot of shit talking in that game as well.
In the end, I'll just be content with the fond memories and feelings I got from the enjoyment of it.

We see him at most conventions we attend, and I think he was on the match game at NYAF once.
There's the slides. Audio, I don't know if we have any. If you want to see panels, go to conventions.

PAX should offer those services for a tiny price.
