Oh hell. I just sold a ton of shit on eBay and got my last GeekDad book advance. My PayPal account is flush. Must... transfer to savings account... before I blow it all.
9 9 9 is also the lightning deal for DS right now. Game is supposed to be pretty good, a rated M "visual novel". Like a gritty Layton of Phoenix Wright. Picking it up for the wife.

I've played it, it's good. However, it's bullshit that you have to play it at least twice to get the real ending. I suggest playing it once, then watch all the endings on YouTube.

That's pretty standard for VNs. You have to play Fate/Stay Night 3 times to go through all the routes, though they are fairly different. I think Tsukihime has something like 9 different endings, with True, Bad, and Normal versions of some of them.

Follow Scott advice and miss much of the content, both puzzles and plot.
If you want to get most out of the 999 with the least amount of effort. Look from faq how to get safe-ending first and true ending then. You have to play through the game twice, but those two routes should have different story moments and puzzles.
I spend one weekend-day, last spring, playing thought all of the endings of that game. It took a while and doing same puzzles multiple times was little frustrating but I have no regrets.
I seriously need to stop buying indie games outside of bundles. Again I already have all the interesting games on that bundle. But for anyone who doesn't already have Cave Story+, Jamestown and Super Meat Boy, get that bundle.
First time I buy a bundle where I only have one of the games so I ended up paying $10 for the lot. All of the other games, I wanted to play (except night sky, this is the first time I've heard about it), so I think it was kind of a steal for me.
I just thought of something. Why is the other charity the Red Cross rather than the EFF like it's been in years past?
The HIB guys had the developers vote on which charities to donate to, and for whatever reason they chose Red Cross this time. They expect that future bundles will return to the EFF, though.
How do you guys usually allocate your monies? I usually donate it all to charity, especially when I have already purchased the games.
Also, Super Meat Boy for Linux! I never thought it would happen... (from their Twitter bio:)
Out on Steam and Xbox360 and FINALLY Mac. Linux port will come when the number of avid Linux users that aren't virgins reaches 12. Also never on PS3 sorry:(
Eufloria and Really Big Sky were worth it in one of the older bundles. I've been wanting Dino D-Day, and Eetz is supposed to be really good (it's by the team behind Shank).
I think Indie Royale is finally starting to get some traction as a worthwhile bundle program, and their site isn't nearly as jank as the Indie Gala site.
Everything I read pointed at that game being absolutely terrible. One review said "The loading screen is the best part. No seriously."
Really? Fuck that noise. Glad I didn't buy that pack yet.
There was a time when I really wanted it based on premise alone. Then, one day I watched a few gameplay videos... looked pretty boring unfortunately. ;_;
I always allocate mine all to the developers, I know charity seems like the moral cause, but these indie developers deserve my money. I give to Childs Play directly, donate anything I don't use instead of throwing it out, and almost exclusively buy used games, so I probably should be giving 100% to developers.

Thank you, Indie Gaming Santa!

I know what I'm doing tonight then.
