What would be interesting is to try coding AIs that interact within the Minecraft world. Roving herds that reproduce, are preyed upon, migrate... Creaper villages and tribes interacting and warring. Earthquakes, sinkholes, cave-ins.

I'd participate in that.
Creeper tribes would be pretty funny due to their kamikaze nature.
It's not to do with heat. Redstone is mostly independent of the games narrative logic and is mostly just for making circuits with. The placing combination is used because you can't place track directly on top of redstone.
That video is awesome, what would be more awesome is making that save file available. I mean I just about have the time to make a waterfall elevator by myself. Are there external editors for the game?
Alright, I finally showed my monetary support and bought the game. I downloaded the skin maker, and now I look like this. I'm gonna make some more tonight.
